Teddi Mellencamp is in therapy to process her experiences as she battles cancer.
âI think it takes a toll on my body,â the âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ alum told Tamra Judge during Tuesdayâs episode of their âTwo Ts in a Podâ podcast, adding that sheâs ânow doing therapyâ to deal with the fallout of her 2022 melanoma diagnosis and the discovery of brain tumors in 2025.
Mellencamp also said she didnât âproperly processâ her emergency surgery, being unable to see her children for stretches of time, and her divorce from estranged husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.
Additionally, sheâs facing the rigors of immunotherapy.
âIâve learned that there are certain things. like itâs hard for me to touch and move,â she explained. âI can see that Iâm slower than I was before, and thatâs really frustrating to me.
Mellencamp, 44, divulged that she wants âto be back to the way I wasâ before the devastating diagnosis.
The reality TV star also addressed her father John Mellencampâs recent assertion that sheâs âsufferingâ â which touched off a fresh wave of concern among fans.
âYou know, I think when he said the word âsuffering,â he meant like how Iâm mentally doing versus how Iâm
physically doing,â she told Judge, noting that while thereâs âstill no trace of cancer,â the mom of three is âstill considered stage fourâ and still receiving immunotherapy.
The âJack and Dianeâ singer, 74, appeared on the âJoe Rogan Experienceâ podcast earlier this month, and noted that his daughter â whom he shares with ex-wife Victoria Granucci â had been âreally sick.â
âItâs not fâking fun,â the Grammy-winning hitmaker said. âSheâs got cancer in the brain, and sheâs suffering right now.â
Teddi subsequently took to her podcast to reveal that she was getting âa lot of rest, a lot of hanging with the family.â
âA lot of trying to get myself together because, apparently, Iâm struggling with massive PTSD ⊠from everything that happened,â she added. âAnd I didnât really realize it.â
On an appearance on the âTodayâ show, John later confessed he was âtry[ing] to talk her intoâ relocating from Los Angeles to Indiana so he could support her, but the Bravolebrity âwonât do it.â
And in an interview with People this month, he said his daughter has âbeen going through hell the last yearâ and that her âpersonality has changedâ amid the ongoing battle.
âThe lesions are still there, but the cancerâs not,â he told the outlet. âBut that doesnât mean sheâs home free; it just means right now thereâs no cancer. So she has to keep on this treatment for who knows how many years.â
Following her initial diagnosis of stage 2 melanoma in 2022, the reality star underwent more than 15 surgeries to address the disease â followed by an emergency procedure in 2025 to remove several tumors in her brain.
In October 2025, the TV personality revealed that the cancer â which had also spread to her lungs â was gone.
âIâm not considered in remission or anything like that,â she said on her podcast at the time. âThe way the [doctors] said it works, itâs like one year, then two years, then at three years youâre allowed to be considered ⊠in remission.â
Her estranged husband recently confirmed Teddiâs assertion that sheâs going through a lot as she faces ongoing treatment.
âSheâs going through the immunotherapy [and] that alone causes some side effects,â he said. âThatâs been really hard on her mental health.â
