Cruz Beckham appeared to become tearful on stage as he sung about âloneliest boyâ Brooklyn in front of his parents. The singer, who was performing with his band The Breakers in London on Tuesday evening, also referenced âbreaking mamaâs heartâ in what seemed to be a direct reference to the ongoing family feud.
Cruz, 21, was completing one of the final dates of his inaugural tour at the Courtyard Theatre in the capital when he suddenly became emotional. He was singing, while playing the guitar, the unreleased track âLoneliest Boyâ, which is widely understood to be about his estranged sibling.
The lyrics include âloneliest boy, mama donât talk too much, itâs breaking her heartâ. His parents David, 50, and Victoria, 51, as well as brother Romeo, 23, watched on from the audience as the musician wiped his face with his sleeve and a band member put his arm around him, in a video shared with The Mirror.Â
Elsewhere, the song featured the words: âIt shows in the small things that you donât do, I guess in the end that itâs you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when youâve got nobody to lose?â
It continued: âLoneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that youâre listening, Donât push all your friends away, when weâre tryna show you love.â
Included in the chorus is: âSo tell me youâre scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause youâre in the room but really, does it even show? But, why canât they see that youâre a million miles away, Theyâll never know, when you look so close.â
Ongoing fallout
It comes as Brooklyn, 27, continues to keep his distance from his famous family. He has not commented on the feud since January, when his explosive six-page statement shared to Instagram publicly confirmed a long-rumoured rift.Â
At the time, he insisted that he didnât want to âreconcileâ with his parent, and accused them of trying to âruinâ his relationship. It appears that the estrangement with them has also extended to his siblings, who include sister Harper, 14.
On Tuesday, Brooklynâs wife Nicola, 31, shared a love note that he had left for her while she slept. In a post to Instagram, the actress revealed that she had woken up to a pink Post-it bearing his handwriting on her bedside table. He wrote: âIâll be back from the gym soon, get your beauty rest. I love you so so so much love Brooklyn xxxxxxx.â
They married in 2022 and are currently living together in Los Angeles. Their most recent public appearance was at his godfather Sir Elton Johnâs Oscars party earlier this month.
