Cruz Beckham appeared to become tearful on stage as he sung about “loneliest boy” Brooklyn in front of his parents. The singer, who was performing with his band The Breakers in London on Tuesday evening, also referenced “breaking mama’s heart” in what seemed to be a direct reference to the ongoing family feud.

Cruz, 21, was completing one of the final dates of his inaugural tour at the Courtyard Theatre in the capital when he suddenly became emotional. He was singing, while playing the guitar, the unreleased track ‘Loneliest Boy’, which is widely understood to be about his estranged sibling.

The lyrics include “loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart”. His parents David, 50, and Victoria, 51, as well as brother Romeo, 23, watched on from the audience as the musician wiped his face with his sleeve and a band member put his arm around him, in a video shared with The Mirror.

Elsewhere, the song featured the words: “It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?”

It continued: “Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.”

Included in the chorus is: “So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show? But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.”

Ongoing fallout

It comes as Brooklyn, 27, continues to keep his distance from his famous family. He has not commented on the feud since January, when his explosive six-page statement shared to Instagram publicly confirmed a long-rumoured rift.

At the time, he insisted that he didn’t want to “reconcile” with his parent, and accused them of trying to “ruin” his relationship. It appears that the estrangement with them has also extended to his siblings, who include sister Harper, 14.

On Tuesday, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola, 31, shared a love note that he had left for her while she slept. In a post to Instagram, the actress revealed that she had woken up to a pink Post-it bearing his handwriting on her bedside table. He wrote: “I’ll be back from the gym soon, get your beauty rest. I love you so so so much love Brooklyn xxxxxxx.”

They married in 2022 and are currently living together in Los Angeles. Their most recent public appearance was at his godfather Sir Elton John’s Oscars party earlier this month.
