Two of Madam Secretary‘s biggest stars were back together on Saturday, April 5, at the opening night of the new Broadway hit BOOP! The Musical.

Téa Leoni attended the bash at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City, posing on the red carpet alongside Erich Bergen, who is a part of the cast of the stage comedy based on animator Max Fleischer’s iconic character, Betty Boop.

The duo costarred in the CBS drama, which ran for six seasons beginning in 2014. The political drama followed former CIA analyst Elizabeth McCord (Leoni) as she’s appointed as the United States Secretary of State following the suspicious death of her predecessor. Bergen played Blake Moran, McCord’s personal assistant.

Madam Secretary wrapped in 2019, under the updated title of Madam President. The final season fittingly tracked McCord’s tenure as the first female President of the United States.

Leoni and Bergen have stayed busy since. Leoni, 59, is currently starring in Death of a Unicorn (in theaters now) and is filming season 5 of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

Bergen, 39, has had roles on screen The Good Fight and Bull. BOOP! marks his return to the stage, after playing Dr. Pomatter in Waitress during stints in 2018, 2019, and 2021 (one of which was opposite Katharine McPhee, who was also at BOOP!’s opening night).
