She knows how to shake it off.
Taylor Swift handled a technical malfunction like a pro on night one of her Eras Tour in Indianapolis Friday.
In video obtained by Page Six, a stagehand was seen helping the pop superstar remove a mic pack that was attached to her waist after its battery seemingly went out during her performance of âLavender Haze.â
Swift, 34, smiled despite the technical difficulties and did not appear thrown off whatsoever, as she continued singing the lyrics to the 2002 song while holding onto her earpiece.
When the mishap ended, the âShake It Offâ singer giddily hopped around onstage as fans cheered her on.
Swift performed to a sold-out audience at Lucas Oil Stadium for the first of back-to-back shows this weekend in Indianapolis.
The âKarmaâ songstress hit the stage shortly after Joe Hogsett, the mayor of Indianapolis, declared Nov. 1-3, 2024 as âTaylor Swift Weekend.â
âIn honor of the upcoming three nights of Taylor Swiftâs #ErasTour at @LucasOilStadium and the expected nine-figure economic impact it will bring to our city, Iâm pleased to proclaim the first weekend of November, 2024 as âTaylor Swift Weekendâ in the City of Indianapolis,â Hogsett wrote via X last week.
He also shared a photo of the official proclamation letter from the âoffice of the mayor.â
Swift is fresh off her Eras Tour shows in New Orleans last week where she was joined by some of her famous friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
The âDeadpool & Wolverineâ star gushed about his experience at the pop starâs show via Instagram on Thursday, telling his followers he would âstill be talking about seeingâ Swiftâs Louisiana show for years to come.
âNot just because itâs one of the best things Iâve seen/heard/felt. And not only because you see the staggering and positive economic impact this tour has on small businesses all over NOLA â a town thatâs been thru so much for so long,â he explained in a lengthy caption.
âThe main reason Iâll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways. And in 2024, (where that feeling is scarce as hell) itâs a special and incredibly rare thing,â he continued.
âI donât understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline @taylorswift generates to create an experience like this because Iâm not a scientist. Itâs an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon. Itâs gigantic but intimate.â
Reynolds concluded his message by stating that the âonly bummerâ is Swift not being able to be in the audience herself â to experience the incredible show she puts on for fans.
âTo watch herself up there is something I wish she could know,â he stated. âBut that isnât physically possible and even if it were, you canât just get tickets last minute.â
