Itâs officially the end of an era for Taylor Swift.
The 14-time Grammy winner closed out her career-spanning Eras Tour on Sunday, Dec. 8 at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, bringing to a close a record-shattering run of shows that forever changed the cultural landscape.
While taking the stage, Swift continuously thanked fans for making the Eras Tour so incredible.
âI want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date â my beloved Eras Tour,â she said in a video shared to X (formerly known as Twitter) before launching into the final track âKarma.â
Before that, while delivering her final âLoverâ speech of the tour, the musician said: âWe have toured the entire world⊠we have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing Iâve ever done in my entire life,â per another video shared by a fan page on X.
âWeâve gotten to perform for over 10 million people on this tour,â Swift added.
According to the New York Times, the Eras Tour sold a total of $2,077,618,725 in tickets, with the outlet stating thatâs âdouble the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history,â citing the singerâs production company, Taylor Swift Touring.Â

The company confirmed 10,168,008 people had attended the concerts, the publication reported. Per the N.Y. Times, Coldplay follow Swift after they reportedly nabbed $1 billion in ticket sales for their 156-date Music of the Spheres World Tour, which kicked off in March 2022 and runs through Sept. 2025.
Sundayâs show also saw fans sing âHappy Birthdayâ to Swift ahead of her turning 35 on Friday, Dec. 13, per a further X clip.
Following a previous Eras Tour stop in Toronto, Swift posted on Instagram about emotions getting âpretty heightened.â âItâs gotten extremely real for us: Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far,â she said.
Swift kicked off her Eras Tour in March 2023. Throughout its run, she performed 152 shows in dozens of cities across five continents.
In April, the âFortnightâ singer released The Tortured Poets Department. The following month, she surprised fans in Paris with a new segment and choreography added to incorporate the Grammy-nominated album.
Among the hundreds of thousands of fans and celebrities along the way who attended her show were her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who was in the crowd in Australia, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Paris, Dublin and Singapore.
He even surprised fans and joined her onstage for one of her London shows in June to take part in the âI Can Do It With a Broken Heartâ costume change skit.
Swift was recently named the global top artist of the year for Spotify Wrapped for the second year in a row. Apple Music Replay and Amazon Music also placed her and Tortured Poets at the top of their 2024 lists.
Following her final show, Swiftâs next big music event will be the 2025 Grammy Awards on Feb 2.
She has been nominated for six awards: record of the year and music video of the year with Post Malone for âFortnight,â album of the year for The Tortured Poets Department, song of the year for âFortnightâ with Malone, 29, and Jack Antonoff, best pop duo/group performance with Gracie Abrams for âUsâ and best pop album for TTPD.
