Taraji P. Henson had fans convinced she is âaging backwardsâ after she shared an incredible bikini photo, days ahead of her 56th birthday.
The Hollywood star, whose birthday is September 11, looked phenomenal posing in a tiny orange two-piece that showcased her curves.
Taraji stood confidently in her string bikini, elongating her toned legs in a pair of matching orange stilettos that wrapped around her ankles.
She completed her look with oversized mirrored sunglasses, large hoop earrings, and a silver chain necklace.
âTurning up the heat for Virgo season baby,â she captioned the carousel of photos.
Tarajiâs followers were blown away by her appearance, with many shocked when they discovered her age.
âGirl I just went to look up your age cause I thought you was like 43 45 AND YOURE 55????? Oh you look sooooooooo good,â one complimented. A second said: âItâs no way you still look like you in your 20s and bombbbbbb.âÂ
A third added: âI Said âDamn She Look Like Tarajiâ This Damn Lady Aging Backwards.â Another exclaimed: âHow old you gon be again?!?!? Yea, whateva!!! Give it to âem babe!!!! LETâS GOOOOO!â
Tarajiâs life off-screen
While Taraji is a celebrated actress with an Oscar nomination and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she has experienced unbelievable tragedy off-screen.
Taraji had a volatile relationship with her high-school sweetheart and the father of her son, William LaMarr Johnson, and has spoken about the domestic violence she experienced during their time together.
In 2003, during their separation, William was murdered in Washington, D.C.
âMy sonâs father was suddenly taken, murdered, when he was nine, and I didnât know how to tell him that,â Taraji shared during her Facebook Watch series Peace of Mind with Taraji. âI couldnât tell him he was murdered.â
Taraji was devastated by Williamsâ death. She called it a parentâs worst nightmare and initially told their son, Marcell, his dad âdied in an accident.âÂ
When Marcell eventually learned the truth, the two turned to therapy together, which was a healing journey that inspired Tarajiâs future advocacy work.
âI started looking for [a therapist],â she told Michelle Obama on IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson.Â
âAnd when I couldnât find anyone who looked like us, because I got to get my son to open up to someone and heâs not going to feel right if the person doesnât feel familiar, something has to be done here.â
Thatâs when she launched the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, which focuses on mental health awareness and support within the African American community.Â
Taraji also discusses mental health on her Facebook Watch series and works to bring her whole person to each of her characters.
