SZA Skips 2025 Grammys Red Carpet But Pops Up in Audience in a Bubblegum Pink Gown with Sexy Cutouts

SZA is one shining star.

The 35-year-old singer and songwriter embraced ethereal glamour at the 2025 Grammys. For the Feb. 2 event, she wore a flowy bubblegum pink gown.

The ensemble featured sexy cutout details and crystal embellishments on the bodice. The star accessorized with a matching pink shawl draped around her elbows, layered necklaces and chunky bangle bracelets.

Her signature curly hair — a vibrant shade of burgundy red — was was styled into a simple, center-parted look. She tied everything together with a metallic eye look and a glossy lip.

SZA, who is also presenting at this year’s ceremony, is nominated for two awards: best R&B song and best R&B performance, both for “Saturn.” In her career, she’s been nominated for 26 Grammys and previously taken home four trophies.

She won three Grammys just last year, among them, a trophy for best progressive R&B album for S.O.S., best R&B song for “Snooze” and best pop duo/group performance for “Ghost in the Machine,” her song with Phoebe Bridgers.

Her first win was in 2022 for best pop duo/group performance for “Kiss Me More,” her song with Doja Cat.

SZA’s sophomore album S.O.S. earned her nine Grammy nominations, making her the most-nominated artist at the 2024 Grammys.

“It’s the culmination of everything. Of the moments leading up to that, even Lizzo and not realizing what was happening and being lost,” SZA recalled to PEOPLE about the sweet onstage moment between her and Lizzo, who presented her with the award. “Then I saw her and I was like, ‘Oh.’ I was realizing what was happening.”

She added, “I was just very shocked and very confused and just trying to not miss my award.”

For her big night, SZA skipped the red carpet but wore a few different fire looks. She performed “Snooze” and “Kill Bill” during the show before changing into a gown to accept her awards.

For her performance, she wore a leather trench coat, a black sleeveless top, cargo pants and a wide-brim hat. SZA then changed into a high-neck Do Long dress with bejeweled accents. The quick change nearly made her miss accepting her award, but she made it just in time.

“Sorry I’m out of breath because I was changing then I took a shot and I ran here,” she said as she ran on stage.
