This is certainly no “Snooze.”

SZA joined headliner Kendrick Lamar during his halftime performance at the Super Bowl 2025 to sing “Luther” and “All the Stars,” dressed in an all-red leather look that included lace-up pants, a matching a custom Born X Raised jacket emblazoned with the name of her song “Crybaby” across the back and a shredded tank top.

The R&B star, who was styled by Alejandra LaPilusa, accessorized with a fur hip belt and red sneakers. She even matched her fiery hair to her outfit — the better to blend in with the red, white and blue color palette embraced by the show’s dancers, who formed an American flag at times.

Lamar, meanwhile, wore a pair of flared jeans, a black T-shirt and a Martine Rose leather bomber jacket with a blinged-out diamond necklace featuring a lower-case letter “a” — which could be a reference to his brutal “Not Like Us” lyric, “tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A-minor.”

Other special guests during the halftime show included Samuel L. Jackson, who played “Uncle Sam”; Serena Williams, who danced in a blue pleated skirt; and collaborator DJ Mustard.

SZA was announced as a guest performer just last month, and it’s no surprise the “Humble” rapper would tap her for the gig, as the pair are set to co-headline a tour starting in April.

Lamar and Apple Music released a trailer of the “Swimming Pools” rapper walking on a football field before SZA approached Lamar from behind and playfully splashed him.

The former labelmates have also collaborated together on several songs including, most recently, “30 for 30” off of SZA’s latest album, “SOS: Lana.” She also appeared twice on his recent album, “GNX.”

The duo’s previous hits include the Oscar-nominated “All the Stars” from “The Black Panther.”

Both stars were in attendance at the 2025 Grammys last week, where Lamar was a big winner of the night, winning both record of the year and song of the year for his Drake diss track, “Not Like Us” — all while wearing a pointed Canadian tuxedo.

He also won three awards earlier in the day for best rap performance, best rap song and best music video.

SZA was a winner on Grammys night too, taking home the gramophone for best R&B song for “Saturn.”

“We haven’t even had a chance to crash out about it,” Lamar joked at a pre-Super Bowl press conference, referencing how busy their schedules have been in preparation for game day.

He added, “Everything’s been moving fast, as far as production, rehearsals and stuff. We speak, but we haven’t really gotten the chance to settle into the moment.”

One thing the pair probably also haven’t spoken about? Lamar foe Drake, whom SZA previously dated; she said in 2023 that it was a “childish” romance.
