Sydney Sweeney put a sultry bridal twist on her sartorial agenda last night as she graced the red carpet for the premiere of Euphoriaâs third season.
Styled by Molly Dickson, the actress wore a Pierre Cardin gown from 2007. The mini dress featured a dramatic, floor-length cape, draped sleeves and a high neckline. The look was cinched at the waist by a rhinestone-adorned bow for added structure and depth.
Sydney accessorised the ethereal look with diamond-encrusted jewellery and a pair of sparkly silver heels. Her luscious blonde locks were styled into soft waves while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a shimmery eye, a pinch of blush, and a nude-stained lip.
Season three of Euphoria drops on April 12 at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. There will be eight episodes released weekly on Sundays. Sydney returns to the show alongside fellow stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Colman Domingo.
Sydney Sweeneyâs red carpet agenda
This isnât the first time the 28-year-old has embraced a bridal-inspired look on the red carpet. Back in December last year, Sydney channeled the essence of old Hollywood glamour in an ensemble inspired by Marilyn Monroe at the Los Angeles premiere of her psychological thriller, The Housemaid.
Sydney donned a custom white Galia Lahav gown that featured a plunging halter neckline, a cinched bodice, and a flowing semi-sheer skirt adorned with feather-trim detailing along the hem.
The garment echoes Marilynâs white fit-and-flare gown from the 1955 classic, The Seven Year Itch. The dress was crafted by costume designer William Travilla and featured a billowing silhouette with a ruched bodice and halter neckline.Â
Lingerie brand
Asides from returning to screens on the hit series Euphoria, Sydney has ventured into the market of lingerie. In January, she announced the launch of her new lingerie brand, Syrn.Â
As per the press release, Sydney opened up about what inspired her to create the lingerie brand. âI was in the sixth grade with DDs. I hated the bra I had to wear. When I bought my first cute bra that actually fit, I wore it to pieces. Designing for different bodies is a huge part of Syrn,â she shared.
âI wanted to create a place where women can move between all the different versions of who we are. I love working on cars, I go waterskiing, Iâll dress up for the red carpet, then go home to snuggle my dogs. Iâm not one thing, no woman is.â
