It may only be March, but Celine Dion is already looking towards summer. The Canadian hitmaker sent fans wild with a series of swimsuit-clad photos she shared on Instagram, showing herself on a luxury yacht.Â
The post featured throwbacks from 2008 when Celine was at sea, soaking up the sunshine as she posed in a blue one-piece with the sun pouring down on herÂ
Celine, 57, captioned the dreamy post: âOutfits I canât wait to wear again⊠Who else is excited for summer?â She added the year and location of the photos: âGĂ©rard Schachmes (2008 â Cape Town),â she wrote.Â
Fans commented: âOh my,â remarking on her tanned and toned physique and lush surroundings. Others added love-heart emojis and called her âqueen.â
Tribute to late husband
Celine recently returned to social media after a break, to pay tribute to her late husband, RenĂ© AngĂ©lil, who died in 2016 from throat cancer.Â
âMon amour, ten years without you feels like just a day, and yet each day feels like a decade,â she wrote. âTen years without your caress, and yet every day I feel your touchâŠWe miss you more than we can bear, but you taught us to be strong.â
âWe love you more, every day and every year â CĂ©line, RC, Nelson and Eddy xx.âÂ
Heartbreaking diagnosis
Celine was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022, making the last few years a rollercoaster for the star.Â
But sheâs had the support of her family, including her three boys, and fans, who have praised her motivation to fight through her challenges.
The âMy Heart Will Go On Singerâ made sure to give a shout-out to her boys at the New York City premiere of her documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, in 2024, sweetly declaring, âI wouldnât be here without the daily love and support from my wonderful children. Thank you, RĂ©ne-Charles. Thank you, Nelson. Thank you, Eddy.â
Over recent years, Celine has been forced to cancel numerous performances due to her diagnosis.Â
The progressive neurological disorder manifests in symptoms like stiffness of the limbs, heightened sensitivity, painful muscle spasms, and difficulty walking. The syndrome greatly affects CĂ©lineâs ability to sing, as it causes uncontrollable muscle spasms in the voice box.
Celineâs return
But she delighted fans when she made her triumphant return to the stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, where she sang Edith Piafâs âHymne A LâAmourâ.
She reflected on her diagnosis and stepping back from the limelight when she told Vogue: âIt has been a big burden on my shoulders, and a lot of that weightâs gone. Because now I can just focus on reality. Thatâs wonderful. My happiness came back.â
