Susan Lucci is feeling good in her skin, thanks to these simple pleasures.
On Jan. 30, PEOPLE caught up with the All MY Children star at the American Heart Association (AHA) Red Dress Collection Concert, where she revealed what she indulges in these days to feel confident.
“A great dress and a little spa [day],” shares the Emmy-winning actress, who wore a glam sequin halter-neck gown.
Lucci, 78, was among the stars celebrating the AHA’s annual fashion show and concert, which saw performances by Suki Waterhouse and headliner Sara Bareilles, as well as catwalk moments from Porsha Williams, Teyana Taylor, Abigail Spencer and Busy Philipps. Sharon Stone hosted the ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The actress, who has undergone two procedures to insert stents in her heart, is a fixture at the AHA event, having walked the carpet and down the runway in years past. She was named an ambassador of the organization in 2018.
In 2023, when she launched a jewelry collection to support the AHA, Lucci spoke to PEOPLE about how her health scares motivated her to transform her lifestyle — and encouraged her to spread awareness on heart health with other women.
“I almost wasn’t going to speak about it, I was so ashamed of myself. But it’s a reminder to be vigilant,” she said.

In her 70s, Lucci has reached new milestones. Back in September, she closed out the Spring-Summer 2025 Dennis Basso show in N.Y.C. in a stunning sage green off-the-shoulder-gown with a floor-grazing cape. The moment marked her debut at New York Fashion.
Designer Dennis Basso told The New York Times that he wanted to create a custom piece for Lucci, with whom he’s been friends for 30 years.
