Dara Levitan is made for the Hamptons.
In a new sit-down with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the “Summer House” rookie lifted the lid on her entry into the house and her co-stars.
From starting a romance with KJ Dillard to getting a first-hand look at the house’s messy love triangle, here are the biggest takeaways from our candid interview with the makeup artist.
Choosing KJ over Ben
Levitan — who previously dated castmate West Wilson — caught the attention of both Ben Waddell and Dillard as soon as she walked into the house, but she ultimately found herself drawn to the latter.
“There was something different about [Dillard] for me he was a little bit more soft-spoken he led forward with, like, this very kind, warm energy,” she told hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy.
Levitan said their similarities allowed her to let her sensitive “lover girl” side out.
She also also appreciated that Dillard is a “man written by a woman,” especially when he listened to her concerns about the boys gossiping in the car.
“When he gets feedback he does not get defensive or lead out with ego; he really cares about how people are feeling,” she noted. As for their current status, Levitan teased that “he’s wonderful” and things are definitely still on, despite the summer coming to an end.
Dissecting the love triangle
Despite being the new girl, Levitan had a front-row seat to the awkward love triangle between Wilson, Ciara Miller and Jesse Solomon. She believes Wilson and Miller share a “special” connection, but theorizes that Wilson isn’t ready to be beholden to someone else.
“I think that’s the limbo he continues to fight through,” she said about Wilson’s struggle to step up for Miller.
As for Solomon’s infamous desire to have a “jokey makeout” with Miller, Levitan believes it stemmed from a “fear of rejection” and the male ego.
Her advice for Jesse in the future is simple: “If you’re having a conversation about wanting to be more than friends, just say your feelings.”
Starting the Lindsay Hubbard fan club
The Bravo newbie gravitated toward veteran Lindsay Hubbard, proudly declaring herself the “number one leader of the Lindsay Hubbard fan club.”
She found comfort in Hubbard’s unfiltered nature, noting that she’s always upfront with her feelings.
Levitan praised: “I love that you know exactly where you stand with her. She’s asking the questions straight out. She’s making the comments with no excuses. What better way to be?”

In fact, the former PR exec became one of Levitan’s favorite people to talk to during emotional moments in the house.
She appreciated that Hubbard could unabashedly offer a different perspective and see things for what they truly are.
Joining the cast … and letting go of control
The influencer revealed her journey to “Summer House” was highly unconventional, tracing back to meeting her ex Wilson on a dating app years ago.
Despite their breakup, the duo remained good friends — and Wilson ultimately recommended Levitan to producers, resulting in her being cast on “Summer House.”
“I met a man on Hinge and it somehow you know evolved into this opportunity,” she explained, joking you never know where a New York “situationship” can lead.
As a self-proclaimed Virgo who likes to “control the narrative,” Levitan said joining a reality show required some serious conversations with her therapist.
Ultimately, she realized that putting herself out there was exactly what she needed.
“Summer House” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
