Steven Tyler and Aimee Preston are facing split speculation after 11 years of dating.
Multiple sources told TMZ on Friday that the pair â who first began dating in 2014 â had split for unknown reasons.
However, they later reported that sources âclose toâ the Aerosmith frontman and Preston said they actually hadnât broken up and are âjust fine.â
A rep for Tyler referred Page Six to TMZâs update, and Preston did not immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
Tyler, 77, and Preston, 38, began dating two years after the Aerosmith frontman hired her as his personal assistant back in 2012 â itâs worth noting that Preston is a decade younger than the âSweet Emotionâ hitmakerâs daughter Liv Tyler, 38, whom he shares with ex Bebe Buell.
The Grammy winner also shares daughter Mia Tyler, 46, with first wife, Cynthia Foxe, to whom he was married from 1978 to 1987.
The âCrazyâ singer tied the knot with his second wife, Teresa Barrick, in 1988, and the rocker shares daughter Chelsea Anna Tallarico, 36, and son Taj Monroe Tallarico, 34, with her.
Following Tylerâs divorce from Barrick in 2006, he briefly became engaged to Erin Brady before calling it off in 2013.
Preston and the âLove in an Elevatorâ hitmaker made their public debut with a PDA-packed appearance at Elton Johnâs annual Oscars party in 2016.
Theyâve since been spotted together at a number of Hollywood events.
In February 2024, they nuzzled and kissed on the red carpet at Tylerâs Jam for Janie Grammy viewing party at the Hollywood Palladium.
Tylerâs relationship with Preston weathered a 2022 accusation that he sexually assaulted a then-16-year-old Julia Holcomb (now Misley) in 1973 and subsequently made her obtain an abortion.
In legal documents, he vehemently denied the allegation and said the relationship was consensual. Holcombâs case is set to go to trial in 2026, per Billboard.
He was again sued in 2023 by Jeanne Bellino, who claimed Tyler sexually assaulted her in 1975 when she was 17 â a claim the rock icon also denied. The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice in 2024.
News of Tylerâs split from Preston comes over a year after Aerosmith announced that they will no longer be touring due to the lead singerâs vocal injuries.
âSadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision â as a band of brothers â to retire from the touring stage,â they wrote in April 2024.
