Ozempic is the newest craze to take over Hollywood.
While stars like Kyle Richards have denied using the Type II diabetes medication â which is injected once a week into the stomach, thigh or arm â others have been vocal with their decision to use the drug, or ones similar, to shed weight quickly.

Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes revealed in December 2025 that she had lost 28 pounds on Ozempic.
âI was 180lbs,â the former actress wrote atop a paparazzi picture of herself, noting that she was âdown to 152lbs.â
Bynes added, âI know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!â
The former child star â who âabused Adderallâ for years to maintain a certain weight at the height of her fame â told her Instagram followers in March 2024 that she had âgained over 20lbs in the past few months from being depressed.â
Vanessa Williams
In January 2026, Vanessa Williams told Hello! magazine sheâs been combating menopausal weight gain with Mounjaro for the past two years.
âItâs a gameâchanger,â the 62-year-old actress shared. âWhen I turned 60, I was like: âI want to be here for a long time, and I want to look my best. So what am I going to do?ââ
Andy Cohen
Andy Cohen candidly revealed he lost âa good chunk of weightâ after he started âmicro-dosingâ on a GLP-1 weight loss drug.
âI was really unhappy with my weight. My doctor and I talked about this last year, had recommended a GLP-1 a few times to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure,â Cohen said on the September 9, 2025, episode of his SiriusXM âAndy Cohen Liveâ radio show.
The star didnât disclose which GLP-1 medication he was taking but explained that it âis a medication that actually is beneficial to a lot of elements of health and I finally said yes.â
âI have to say, it really helped me with cravings,â he continued, âwhich I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out.â
Serena Williams
Serena Williams admitted to using the GLP-1 medication Ro to lose more than 30 pounds.
âI feel great,â she told People on July 21, 2025. âI feel really good and healthy. I feel light physically and light mentally.â
Williams explained that her struggles with weight began in 2017, after she gave birth to her oldest daughter, Alexis Olympia, via an emergency C-section.
âI never was able to get to the weight I needed to be, no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,â she told the outlet.
âIt was crazy because Iâd never been in a place like that in my life where I worked so hard, ate so healthy and could never get down to where I needed to be at,â the athlete shared.
âI had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best. So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.â
Brooks Nader
Brooks Nader has opened up about her use of weight loss medications on several occasions, sharing on her âLove Thy Naderâ reality show, âI typically microdose GLP-1.â
âIâm still working on my self-confidence and just my journey with that every day. Itâs different now,â Brooks told Us Weekly after the show aired.
Renee Graziano
Renee Graziano revealed that she has lost more than 50 pounds by taking the weight-loss drug Mounjaro.
âOH BABY đ IM DOWN 52lbs ⊠I love sharing my weight-loss journey with yâall because truthfully, Iâve been so hard on myself behind the scenes,â she captioned her post on May 5, 2025, which included side-by-side images of how she looked before losing the weight and now.
In the current snap, the âMob Wivesâ alum showed off her curves in a body-hugging, floor-length black dress.
âIâve battled self-criticism in the past! Ripped myself down to the ground!! I truly was so sick and tired of my life and my inability to lose weight so I thought Iâd eat until I felt better THAT NEVER HAPPENED, I felt like I was constantly falling shortâof how I âshouldâ look, feel, and keep up with what society tells us is acceptable,â she added.
The former reality TV star said she has been taking a weekly Mounjaro shot for five months in addition to other supplements and weekly sessions with a therapist.
âI havenât felt the need for a plastic surgery shortcut, although I do believe whatever makes you happy and doesnât jeopardize your life do it!â she said, adding that she has done âa little Botox and a touch of lip filler.â
âThe substantial amount of weight that I have lost really has made me feel and look younger than I have in a long time,â Graziano wrote.
Meghan Trainor
Meghan Trainor opened up about her Mounjaro use while breaking down her dramatic weight loss via Instagram on March 31, 2025.
âYes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me,â the singer wrote of becoming her âhealthiest, strongestâ self.
The pop star also credited a dietician, a trainer and âhuge lifestyle changesâ for her headline-making slimdown.
Fat Joe
Fat Joe spoke about using Ozempic to help shed a whopping 200 pounds in an interview with Us Weekly shared Oct. 14, 2024.
âOzempic says you may only have two pieces of your favorite stuff,â he told the outlet.
The rapper, whose real name is Joseph Antonio Cartagena, also said that his knowledge over what kind of foods to avoid contributed to the transformation, as well.
âWe just try to eat everything with the least carbs as possible. So we try to stay away from the bread, the pasta, the rice. Thatâs the smartest way to eat,â he told the outlet.
Fat Joe said that heâs also focused in on portion control and learning how to eat in moderation.
âLike this morning I ate breakfast, I had this toast. I cut the corner off, ate it and kept it moving. Normally I wouldâve ate [sic] the whole thing. But you know, thatâs what we do. We cut carbs and try to be smarter,â he explained.
Kathy Bates
Kathy Bates revealed in an interview that she has lost 20 pounds using Ozempic. Before using the weight loss drug, the actress shed 80 pounds through her diet and lifestyle.
âThereâs been a lot of talk that I just was able to do this because of Ozempic,â she told People in October 2024. âBut I have to impress upon people out there that this was hard work for me, especially during the pandemic. Itâs very hard to say youâve had enough.â
The âMiseryâ star went on a weight-loss journey several years ago after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
The Oscar winner admitted to the magazine that she âused to eat terriblyâ â âburgers and Cokes and pizzaâ â for emotional reasons.
âI ate because I was afraid, and I ate because it was a FU to my self-esteem,â she explained. â[Diabetes] runs in my family, and Iâd seen what my father had gone through. He had had a leg amputation. One of my sisters is dealing with it very seriously, and it terrified me. It scared me straight.â
Macy Gray
Macy Gray shared that she has been battling stomach pains and constipation since she began taking Ozempic for weight loss.
The âI Tryâ singer told her âSurreal Life: Villa of Secretsâ castmates Kim Zolciak and Johnny Weir that she had been âup all nightâ due to her discomfort in the July 2024 episode.
âOh, boy, my stomach hurts. Iâve just been really constipated,â she said. âI took Ozempic. I canât go to the bathroom, and I was up all night.â
Gray, whose real name is Natalie McIntyre, then explained that she had turned to the trendy medication to âlose weight really fastâ before going on tour.
âQuietly, Iâm kind of a vain person. Iâve gained a lot of weight over the past couple years, and this is right about the time when everybody starts talking about this Ozempic,â she admitted in a confessional.
âSo, I thought, âOK, Iâm not taking it off the right way. Let me see if I can get one of these Ozempic [prescriptions],ââ the Grammy winner added.
âI was actually trying to take it off [the weight] before the show because I didnât want to be super fat on TV, but here we are.â
Alabama Barker
Alabama Barker has joined the gaggle of celebrities taking weight-loss medication.
The daughter of Travis Barker and his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, made the admission in a July 2024 selfie-style video that showed her applying her makeup.
âI have, like, this thing where I photograph so ugly, and people are like, âOh, my God â youâre so fat, and youâre so ugly,ââ Alabama explained.
âAnd itâs, like, I see what you guys are seeing, but just, like, meet me in person. I feel like I donât look like that.â
In the next breath, however, she added, âBut Iâm on weight-loss medication because Iâm tired of being fat and photographing like a damn ogre.â
Alabama did not name the drug sheâs on.
Shanna Moakler
Shanna Moakler told People that she used Mounjaro to lose weight after her parents died seven months apart.
âI was in a very, very dark place. I stopped dieting. I stopped exercising. I just ate like sât,â she said. âI was so devastated, and I missed my fâking mom and dad. I was like, âIâm going to fâking eat the pain away.ââ
The former beauty pageant queen didnât reveal how much weight sheâs lost using the drug.
 Braunwyn Windham-Burke
âRHOCâ alum Braunwyn Windham-Burke revealed in June 2024 that she began taking Ozempic after she moved to Nashville with her partner, Jennifer Spinner.
âThe food is different [in Nashville],â she told Us Weekly. âThereâs Loveless Cafe and biscuits and fried chicken⊠Iâm not a person with a lot of self-control.â
The reality star said she gained 20 pounds before turning to the medication to help her slim her waistline.
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson revealed in May 2024 that she dropped 60 pounds with the help of a weight-loss drug.
âMine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having [use medication], too, because my blood work got so bad,â she told guest Whoopi Goldberg on an episode of âThe Kelly Clarkson Show.â
Clarkson didnât reveal the exact pharmaceutical she used, but did confirm itâs not Ozempic.
âEverybody thinks itâs Ozempic â itâs not â itâs something else, but itâs something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesnât do it right.â
Tori Spelling
Tori Spelling revealed she used Ozempic and Mounjaro to lose weight after welcoming her sixth child with Dean McDermott.
âI did Mounjaro and everyone admits it now,â she said during her âMisspellingâ podcast on April 16.
The âBeverly Hills, 90210â alum added, âI tried Ozempic and it didnât work for me.â
Spelling explained she was at 160 pounds when she tried the weight loss medication to slim back down to 120 pounds.
She leaned off Mounjaro in January 2024 after reaching her goal weight.
Rebel Wilson
Rebel Wilson said she briefly used Ozempic to help with her weight loss after shedding 80 pounds.
âSomeone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good,â the âPitch Perfectâ star said during a March 2024 interview with the Sunday Times.
The actress added she no longer uses the diabetes medication.
Tracy Morgan
During an August 2023 âTodayâ show appearance, Tracy Morgan told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that he takes Ozempic injections every Thursday.
âI ainât letting it go,â the stand-up comedian said of the diabetes drug. âIt cuts my appetite in half. Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos.â
As for his gym routine, the actor added, âI get up at seven every morning, and Iâm in the gym at 10. Then I go back to sleep. And thatâs my life.â
Michael Rubin
Fanatics founder Michael Rubin revealed in July 2023 that he used Ozempic competitor Mounjaro to shed some unwanted pounds, otherwise heâd âbe the Pillsbury Doughboy.â
He then joked that âplastic surgeryâ would be his ânextâ step toward eternal youth.
Emily Simpson
âReal Housewives of Orange Countyâ star Emily Simpson said on âJeff Lewis Liveâ in June 2023 that she used Ozempic to kickstart her weight loss before going for liposuction and a breast reduction.
âI didnât like the way it made me feel lethargic and it made me just not have a lot of energy, which was hard with three little kids,â she explained, âbut it does make you feel full and it does make you, for me, it was like a refresh.â
Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer said she tried Ozempic and got âso skinny,â but had to stop taking it because the drug made her feel âso sick.â
â[I] couldnât play with my son,â the comedian said on âWatch What Happens Liveâ in June 2023. âI was so skinny and heâs throwing a ball at me and [I couldnât].â
She also slammed celebrities who lie about using the weight-loss drug:
âEveryone has been lying saying, âOh smaller portions.â Like, shut the fâk up.â
Schumer added, âYou are on Ozempic or one of those things or you got work done. Just stop. Be real with the people. When I got lipo, I said I got lipo.â
Gracie McGraw
After posting bikini snaps in June 2023, Gracie McGraw poked fun at accusations that she uses Ozempic as she has been âopenâ about taking the Type II diabetes drug since being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome.
âI did use Ozempic last year, yes,â Tim McGraw and Faith Hillâs eldest daughter wrote via Instagram. âI am now on a low dose of Mounjaro for my PCOS as well as working out.â
Gracie first shared her PCOS struggles in March 2022.
Lauren Manzo
Caroline Manzoâs daughter, Lauren Manzo, admitted she used the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, a competitor of Ozempic, to lose 30 pounds following a 50-pound weight loss.
âYou guys have seen me struggle with [my weight] since Iâm 20 years old, and itâs been really hard for me,â she said during Page Sixâs âVirtual Reali-Teaâ live podcast event in May 2023. âIâve lost a lot of weight from being on that whole âOzempicâ thing.â
Sharon Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne revealed on âThe Talkâ that she got âvery sickâ after using injectable weight-loss drugs for several months.
âThe first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever,â she said.
The former reality star did not specify which medication she used but said it caused her to lose 30 pounds in four months.
Dolores Catania
Dolores Cantina said she used Ozempic to slim down in time for the âReal Housewives of New Jerseyâ Season 13 reunion taping.
âI wasnât going to come to the reunion looking any bigger than anyone else, so I got on the bandwagon,â she told Andy Cohen on âWatch What Happens Liveâ on April 4, 2023.
When the host asked about the side effects, Catania replied, âJust not hungry.â
Jennifer Fessler
âRHONJâ newbie Jennifer Fessler all but confirmed she used a variation of Ozempic to help her drop some pounds.
âI did lose a lot of weight. I took peptides, and I donât know if youâve heard of medications associated with [peptides] that help people lose weight,â she said on âWWHLâ on March 21, 2023.
Cohen then flat-out asked Fessler whether she was on Ozempic, to which she coyly replied, âYou said it, I didnât. But ⊠whatever works, here I am.â
Golnesa âGGâ Gharachedaghi
Golnesa âGGâ Gharachedaghi revealed she lost more than 10 pounds on the drug â and even taught her fans how to inject themselves.
âI am on the weight-loss shots, honey, OK,â the âShahs of Sunsetâ alum said in an Instagram video on Feb. 28, 2023. âIâm just not going to lie about it because I always keep it real about what is fake.â
Gharachedaghi explained that she experienced health issues in 2022 that made her gain some weight, which she had a âvery, very, very hard time getting rid of.â
After showing her Instagram followers how to do their own injections, the former Bravolebrity shaded celebs who denied using Ozempic or any of its alternatives.
âWe know who you are,â she said. âWe see how skinny yâall are getting. Itâs not rocket science. Just saying.â
Chelsea Handler
Chelsea Handler claimed she didnât know she used to be on Ozempic until a friend, who was also on the weight-loss drug, told her.
âI came back from a vacation, and I injected myself with it. I went to lunch with a girlfriend a few days later, and she was like, âIâm not really eating anything. Iâm so nauseous. Iâm on Ozempic,ââ she recalled on the âCall Her Daddyâ podcast on Jan. 25, 2023.
âI was like, âIâm kind of nauseous, too.â But I had just come back from Spain and was jet-lagged. I had been there for a month. White privilege.â
After Handler told her friend that she was âon semaglutide,â her pal confirmed that was the generic version of Ozempic.
The comedian later admitted that she was no longer taking the diabetes medication.
âIâm not on it anymore,â she clarified. âIâm an irresponsible drug user, but Iâm not gonna take a diabetic drug. I tried it, and Iâm not gonna do that. Thatâs not for me. Thatâs not right for me.â
Remi Bader
Remi Bader confessed she was on Ozempic before it went viral on TikTok.
The influencer said she was prescribed the drug because she was pre-diabetic and insulin-resistant and gaining weight. However, when she stopped taking it, she âgained double the weight back.â
âI saw a doctor, and they were like, âItâs 100 percent because you went on Ozempic,ââ she said on the âNot Skinny But Not Fatâ podcast on Jan. 12, 2023.
âIt was making me think I wasnât hungry for so long,â the TikTok star added. âI lost some weight. I didnât want to be obsessed with being on it long-term. I was like, âI bet the second I [get] off, Iâm going to [be] starving again.â
âI did, and my bingeing got so much worse. So, then I kind of blamed Ozempic.â
Elon Musk
Elon Musk admitted to using Wegovy, an injection used for chronic weight management in adults with obesity and Type II diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
When a fan asked âWhatâs your secret?â and complimented his ârippedâ physique, the billionaire tweeted on Oct. 1, 2022, âFastingâ and âWegovy.â
Oprah Winfrey
After months of speculation, Oprah Winfrey told People in December 2023 that she uses a prescription medication âas a tool to manageâ her weight, but did not reveal the exact drug.
âThe fact that thereâs a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for,â the talk-show host told the outlet.
She added, âIâm absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.â
Sheryl Underwood
Sheryl Underwood joked that she is âalmost a baby Kardashianâ after losing 100 pounds while taking the weight loss drug Wegovy.
âIâm about three different sizes because I still got a booty. But hereâs the bad part â you know how those girls have the hourglass? Iâm almost to the hourglass,â she told the Messenger in an interview published in December 2023.
âIâm almost a baby Kardashian. Let me say that. Iâm almost a baby Kardashian.â
Due to the drastic weight loss, the âTalkâ co-host â who once weighed 250 pounds â revealed she no longer has to take medicine for her previous health issues.
Claudia Oshry
In August 2023, Claudia Oshry got emotional as she revealed to her fans that she had been taking Ozempic for the past year.
âThe reason Iâm nervous about sharing [how much Iâve lost] is because Iâm ashamed of myself that I got to a place where I had 70 pounds to lose,â she said on an episode of âThe Toastâ at the time.
âI could cry Iâm so mad at myself,â she added, breaking down in tears.
The comedian, known for her Instagram handle @girlwithnojob, joked that she never thought she was âthat bigâ because sheâs âso delusional.â
âTo be a fat woman is one of the hardest things to do in this world. [But] I feel like I handled it as good as I could have and Iâm proud of the fact I was able to have a full life [before losing weight],â Oshry said.
Boy George
British musician Boy George admitted to using both Ozempic and its competitor Mounjaro in his autobiography, âKarma.â
âI have struggled with my weight most of my life, and being under public and media scrutiny doesnât help,â he wrote in the book.
The singer called the weight-loss medication a âwonder drugâ and insisted âanyone who was fat last year and is now skinnyâ is using the prescription.
Heather Gay
âReal Housewives of Salt Lake Cityâ star Heather Gay admitted that she was on the Ozempic train in November 2023.
âIâve been on it for a long time, but hadnât really seen much results,â she told People at Varietyâs Women in Reality TV event in Los Angeles.
âAnd I havenât had massive results, but enough for people to notice, which is great.â
Gay has witnessed, however, that people treat her differently even with just minor weight loss.
âYou lose five pounds, people are nicer to you,â the reality star said.
âI donât know why. Itâs just the way the world works and that makes me sad for women. But happy that Iâm down five.â
