Brett Randleâs health journey has taken a few turns on season 10 of Southern Charm.
At the beginning of the season, his wife Madison LeCroy shared that Brett was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the end of 2023. The firefighter entered remission, but he continued to deal with complications such as having a hard time swallowing. Then, in a January episode, Madison, 34, revealed that Brettâs doctors found a tumor on his kidney and they âdonât know what it is.â
In the March 13 episode, Madison told her mom Tara over glasses of rosĂ© that âBrettâs test came back and no cancer.â
âIt was just an abnormal tissue,â the reality star explained. âSo now theyâre going to run the test and make sure everythingâs working properly, and the kidneys are doing good, but what a relief.â
Madison explained in a confessional interview exactly how relieved she felt.
âI feel like Iâve definitely been holding my breath so long that I donât know how to breathe,â she said. âI feel like once you experience something like this, youâre always gonna have worry. But at this moment, I just have to be thankful that now we can just move on with our happily ever after life.â
Brettâs initial diagnosis caused him and Madison to put having kids together on hold, but Tara pointed out that, now she and Brett could start trying for a baby. âI mean, I think that literally, in the same breath he said, âEverythingâs negative, now weâre ready,'â Madison said to her mom.
In a flashback, Madison and Brett talked about growing their family, with the mom of 12-year-old son Hudson saying, âIf I donât have a girl, weâre just going to have to keep trying.â

Tara suggested Madison could have twins, but Madison doesnât think her body could handle that.Â
âIâm 50-50 man-made,â Madison joked.
Since filming wrapped, Madison and Brett announced that theyâre expecting their first child together, a baby girl.
âI honestly was pinching myself because I hadnât heard good news in it felt like the last two years,â Madison told PEOPLE of learning about the pregnancy. âSo to hear something that was so positive and something that weâve been wanting and looking forward to was just super exciting. And of course, everybody in our family and everybody was rooting for us.â
Madison said she told Hudson, who she had at 22 with a previous partner, first about the new baby. âHe was excited,â she shared. âObviously, at first heâs like, âEh.â And then we recently got a puppy, so he goes, âActually I really love caring, so might as well.â I was like, âOkay. This is going to be way different, but okay.'â
The soon-to-be mom of two said on an Amazon Live stream last month that she thought âthereâs no way I am going to get a girlâ and have it be âa perfect situation where I have the boy and the girl.â
âBut it worked out in my favor, and Iâm so excited,â the Southern Charm star, who recently launched luxury loungewear line LeCroy, said. âI have a feeling Iâm going to have to work a lot harder and make more money because the clothes are just adorable!â
