Sofía Vergara Shines in Poolside Bikini Selfies While Telling Fans to Protect Their Skin: ‘Summer Is Almost Here’

Sofía Vergara is ready for summer — and she wants to make sure her fans are, too!

The Griselda star, 52, shared a photo post on Instagram on Saturday, April 12, featuring herself soaking in the sun while wearing a bikini poolside.

The Modern Family alum could be seen lounging while wearing black bikini bottoms and holding a product from her Toty suncare brand.

“Ya casi llega el verano!protégete con @toty ,” Vergara wrote alongside the image in a caption, which translates to “Summer is almost here! protect yourself with @toty .”

The actress shared an additional look at her poolside day on her Instagram Stories, where she posted a selfie, a sunshine emoji and a caption: “Protección todo el verano,” or “protection all summer.” She soundtracked the snap with Calvin Harris’ 2014 song “Summer.”

Plenty of fans and friends supported Vergara’s latest selfie in her comment section, including Cindy Prado, Cindy Mello, Victoria Bonya, Valentina Ferrer and Lauren Sánchez.

“Best sunscreen ad I ever did see,” Prado wrote.

“Ok hottie,” Sánchez added.

Vergara is no stranger to posting swim-themed snaps before summer even kicks off. In December, the actress shared a look at her Thanksgiving weekend with loved ones, when she uploaded a series of Instagram posts — one of which featured Vergara a black bikini, silver hoop earrings and long wavy hair.

“Second round at the beach today,” she captioned the photos.

Another image featured the actress sunbathing in a lounge chair on the beach while she wore only a pair of bikini bottoms.

Vergara launched her suncare brand Toty in June 2023, telling PEOPLE at the time that the brand’s name came from a nickname she had as a little girl and that she had a big vision for it.

“I want to create a brand that has it all,” she said at the time. “Lips, body makeup that has sun protection, that doesn’t get on your clothes, and that you can put on your chest every day to even out. The dream is big, but we have to start little by little.”

Back in May, Vergara appeared on the cover of PEOPLE’s Beautiful Issue, when she defined beauty as something that has “always been very important” in her life.

“I think because I’m Latin, we always grow up thinking about looking good, doing your hair, your makeup. It’s something that makes you feel good,” she said. “I love beauty products. I love makeup, I love clothes. And I think now that I’m older, it’s great, because you know exactly what you like, what looks good on you, what doesn’t look good on you. I don’t do what is in fashion. I just do what feels good, makes me feel confident and beautiful.”
