Snoop Doggâs daughter Cori Broadus wants a wedding fit for a âprincessâ â but nothing is going according to plan.
In the upcoming E! docuseries Snoopâs Fatherhood: Cori and Wayneâs Story, Cori, 25, and her fiancĂ© Wayne Duece take fans behind the scenes as they pull together the details of their dream wedding. The couple â who got engaged in November 2022 â faces a lot of highs and laws in the process, and even begins to question whether they will make it to the altar.
A trailer for the three-part series shows Cori and Wayne reflecting on their engagement and whatâs to come. âI love Wayne so much,â the bride-to-be says, while Wayne declares, âNow that me and Coriâs engaged, itâs time to get this wedding on the road.â
It seems Cori has a short timeline in mind. When her wedding planner asks if she has a date, she says âfour months.â And her plans for the guest list are equally ambitious: 750 people. âI think this wedding is going to be insane,â a loved one remarks in response.
There are also discussions about Wayneâs entrance at the wedding. âIâm a princess so the prince has got to do it big,â Cori says, and Wayne suggests, âWhat if I came in on this helicopter?â
And when it comes to entertaining her guests, Cori has other big ideas. âMy dream would be to have Justin Bieber,â she reveals, prompting her rapper father, 53, to jokingly tell her, âYou got too many god dâ- dreams.â
Another scene shows Cori reacting to negative comments about her relationship with Wayne. âOf course the haters come in eventually,â she says. â âHeâs only with her because of her dad.â â
Yet another scene captures the future bride trying on wedding dresses, and not enjoying the process. âI hate my body,â she says as she stands in a white strapless gown with a high slit at the leg. âMy dress, itâs not making me feel sexy.â
The trailer even hints that the wedding planning is causing tension between the couple. At one point, Cori tells her fiancĂ©, âYouâre acting like a fââ bridezilla.â Later, she says, âMe and Wayne are in some deep trouble,â as footage shows the two attending pre-marital counseling. Wayne makes a comment suggesting the wedding may not happen.
As father-of-the-bride Snoop watches all the drama unfold from the sidelines, he makes a rather blunt assessment: âThis is gonna be a fââ nightmare.â
The trailer ends with Cori and Wayne facing an even bigger challenge as Cori is rushed to the ER, where doctors inform her she had a stroke. (At the age of 6, Cori was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease which can increase the risk for a stroke.)
âMy health was declining. Iâm hurting, Iâm scared,â she says. âWhy is this happening to me?â
Last year, Cori opened up about her relationship with Duece to Teen Vogue and admitted she didnât expect to be planning a wedding in her early 20s. âWe [had] talked about marriage, but we already feel married,â she said at the time. â[There was] no rush. Weâre so young. We have so much time ahead of us.â
But after Wayne popped the question, she found sheâs looking forward to all âthe forever sââ that comes with married life.
âIâm so glad weâre together,â she added to the outlet. âIâm so glad I found my peace of mind.â
