Sloths Yawn and Stumble Through the Monday After the Big Game in Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl Ad

Sloths have crawled their way into the Super Bowl.

The infamously slow animals are the stars of Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial. On Feb. 3, the beer brand released a 60-second version of the spot, which will appear as a 30-second ad during the big game on Feb. 9.

In the minute-long clip, human-like sloth football fans try navigating the world at the start of the work week after the Super Bowl. A version of The Mamas and The Papas’ “Monday, Monday” serves as the soundtrack for the commercial created by Mischief @No Fixed Address, which is aptly titled “Slow Monday.” The animals slowly cycle through a spin class, lose control of their speedy lawnmowers, fall asleep on the job, and generally struggle to get through the day in the ad.

The commercial closes with one of the sloth people receiving a 12-pack of Coors Light with the brand’s limited-edition Mondays Light packaging, making it a literal case of the Mondays.

“Tomorrow, we’ll all have a case of the Mondays. So, Coors Light made a better case to help you chill,” the ad’s voiceover says as the sloth accepts the beers, turning him back into a human.

The new limited-time “Mondays” packaging for Coors Light 12-packs featured in the 2025 Super Bowl ad is now available at retailers nationwide. The limited-time packaging also includes a chance for fans to win a case of Coors Light to have on hand for the Monday after the Super Bowl.

Coors Light also launched a Case of the Mondays merchandise collection, including sweat sets, bucket hats, blankets, pillows, and more. The collection is available at CoorsLight.com/Mondays.

“The day after the big game, it’s easy to feel like a sloth — they perfectly capture that ‘Case of the Mondays’ feeling,” Marcelo Pascoa, Coors Light’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “For weeks, we’ve been bringing this idea of ‘Case of the Mondays’ to life everywhere. Our ad is the culmination of all that hard work in an unexpected way.”

Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl Commercial, limited-edition packaging, and merch stemmed from a simple typo.

According to a release from the brand, earlier this year, Coors Light mistakenly spelled the word refreshment as “refershment” in national newspapers and billboards to show the brand having its own “Case of the Mondays” moment.

Super Bowl LIX will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles.
