Sister Wives’ Kody Brown and 1st Wife Meri Brown’s Relationship Timeline Before and After Split

Meri was the final stop on Kody’s ex-wives’ apology tour, and it wasn’t the smoothest conversation. After Kody and Meri butted heads over how involved her friends were in their marital issues, Kody admitted, “Listen, [an] apology is so needed here because this is still so toxic. And I apologize for that.”

Meri asked, “Do you apologize that you are toxic to me, or are you just being general?” Kody responded, “Yes, I apologize that I am toxic to you, Meri, or was toxic to you.”

As the conversation continued, Meri told Kody to “stop with the ‘apologize’ word,” admitting it felt “insincere” the more he said it. “Your use of the word ‘apologize’ feels very extreme and very forced to me,” Meri explained.

Kody, meanwhile, confessed he was “uncomfortable” and that was why he kept apologizing. Meri and Kody left with very different ideas of how their conversation went.

“From here out, I hope the swords are down. If we can move forward in the future, just making sure that we are very kind, we might be able to remain in good places with each other,” Kody told the cameras.

Meri said in her own confessional, “I’m not sure at this point, you know, what this all means. There’s been a lot throughout this whole divorce process, throughout the property process, things that I’ve discovered since then. But it doesn’t affect me. I’m not listening to what he says.”
