My Happy Place is bringing viewers on a trip around the globe with their favorite stars!
The new CNN Original Series, which premieres on Sunday, April 27, explores the deep connection between six A-listers and their most beloved travel destinations that have helped them tap into another side of themselves.
In a PEOPLE exclusive first look at the trailer (above) for the six-episode series produced by Boardwalk Pictures, viewers will be transported to a variety of stunning places with Alan Cumming, Taraji P. Henson, Questlove, Billy Porter, Octavia Spencer and Simu Liu as their hosts.
From Austin to Indonesia, the series will not only show off the beauty of each place, but also reveal why these spots have become each celeb hosts’ own personal oasis.
“My happy place. One place where I could truly be myself,” Porter shares in the trailer of his favorite destination: Mykonos. In his episode, the Pose star reveals how he first came across the Greek island while working on a cruise, and why it has remained one of his favorite places all these years.
Meanwhile, Cumming embarks on a trip through the Scottish Highlands. TheTraitors host, who grew up in Scotland and often escaped to the mountainous region, shares how the area still brings him “a deep sense of calm” now as an adult.
Heading over to New Orleans, Spencer shares how she first traveled to the city as a college student ready to celebrate Mardi Gras. Ever since, she keeps returning to the Crescent City as it “feels like an extension of my personality,” she says in the clip.
For Liu, Bangkok became one of his happy places more recently after he traveled there two years ago. During his episode, viewers will take a tour of the city as the actor revisits both new and old places.
“There’s something about Thailand that just seemed very welcoming to me,” the Barbie star explains in the trailer.
As for Henson, The Color Purple star says she “needed a radical change of scenery,” so she left Hollywood in search of some rest and relaxation in Bali, Indonesia. “Bali allowed me to find the part of me that I had lost,” she says.

Questlove will also take viewers to Austin and share how the city serves as his muse for creative inspiration.
“Whenever my schedule clears, I head straight to my happy place: Austin, Texas,” the Grammy-winning musician says in the trailer. “There’s a level of joy that I get from people that actually appreciate the music.”
My Happy Place premieres Sunday, April 27 at 10 p.m. ET on CNN.
