Simone Biles’ year is off to a strong start.

On Thursday, the decorated gymnast was named Sports Illustrated 2024’s Sportsperson of the Year, covering the magazine in a snakeskin-printed dress.

Biles, 27, is the first Olympic athlete to be tapped for the publication’s Sportsperson of the Year in over a decade — the last was basketball superstar LeBron James in 2012.

In one image featured in the issue, lensed by photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis, the athlete flaunts her incredibly toned legs in silver sequin hot pants from Retrofête.

She balanced out the revealing silhouette with a black long-sleeve turtleneck romper by SER.O.YA and added metallic silver Giuseppe Zanotti strappy heels.

Elsewhere in the story, Biles, who has 11 Olympic medals, posed in a racy see-through David Koma with a plunging neckline underneath a flared mini skirt, also from the London-based fashion designer.

The publication shared the news via Instagram, with fans praising the publication for their selection.

One person wrote, “This choice was easy as pie” while a second added, “@sportsillustrated…definitely got it right!!! Congratulations @simonebiles👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.”

Then, a third said, “The obvious answer congrats 🐐”.

Former teammate Aly Raisman commented, “STUNNING!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕” and Omarosa Newman declared, “Face Card and Statistics don’t lie! She is HER!”

In the interview, Biles addressed her uncertainty about whether she’ll compete in the 2028 games in Los Angeles.

“Life and death,” she said about what the next Olympics would need to be about in order for her to return.

“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what?” the athlete added.

“I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”
