Simone Biles is revealing new details about a harrowing alleged break-in at her Chicago home with husband Jonathan Owens.
“Get ready with me to go pick up my new car,” Biles, 29, began a TikTok video shared Monday, September 21. “I feel like I need a new car because, during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche GTS.”
Biles temporarily relocated to Chicago last year during Owens’ tenure with the local Bears football team. (The NFL safety, 31, signed with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this year and made the 53-man roster for the 2026 season.)
The gymnast further quipped on Monday that the robbery was “another story” to share in itself.
“If you guys want to know, I’ll do a storytime on that,” she added. “I feel like I need a reality show. The things that happen to me are absolute insanity, and so it’d be really easy for producers to just film regularly.”
The Olympian acknowledged that she and Owens adopted their new dog because of the alleged robbery.
“That is one of the reasons we got our Doberman,” she said.
As for her new car, Biles ultimately chose to buy a Porsche Cayenne GTS.
“I’ve always wanted this car, but I didn’t necessarily want to pay the price,” she said on Monday. “Baby, when they turned that thing on, I was sold. I felt like Tiffany Haddish in Girls Trip, ‘Give it to me, I want it, give it to me!’ So, we never even made it to Lambo [to test-drive more options].”
Neither Biles nor Owens has further addressed the alleged break-in. The couple has been together since 2020, ultimately getting married in 2024.
“It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything,” Owens told Texas Monthly in 2021 of connecting with Biles during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. “We used it to get to know each other — really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now, I’m so thankful.”
After their nuptials, Biles has supported Owens on the NFL sidelines just like he’s done the same at her gymnastic meets.
“It is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don’t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone. I just tell her, ‘Go do your thing, baby,’” Owens exclusively told Us in July 2024. “You get a different type of focus whenever you just have this one person that you’re focusing on.”
He continued at the time, “I’ve played a lot better since [meeting Simone]. I’ve just been focused and locked in, and you come home, talk about my day and play with the dogs, you know what I mean? That’s just kind of, like, our thing.”
