Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner defended her against body-shaming critics after several commented on her figure at the 2025 SAG Awards.

The “Twilight” star took to his Instagram Stories Wednesday to reshare viral side-to-side comparison photos of Gomez from the 2024 and 2025 awards ceremonies, as several trolls claimed she had slimmed down in the past year.

“It’s a cruel world full of hate out there,” he wrote. “You can never please everyone nor should you have to. In my experience, it doesn’t make the words sting less, it just refocuses you onto what matters.”

“And it sure isn’t the shape, color or appearance of your body. Daily reminder to all of us to not forget how beautiful you are inside and out … and to be a little bit nicer,” Lautner, 33, concluded.

Reps for Gomez, 32, weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The actors briefly dated in 2009 while filming “Ramona and Beezus” and “Twilight: New Moon” in Canada, respectively.

Gomez stepped out in a blue off-the-shoulder dress for Sunday’s awards show and fans quickly hopped onto social media to claim the actress appeared slimmer.

“ozempic and plastic surgery are saving her career,” one person wrote on X, as another chimed in, “She must be on the ozempic bandwagon.”

Aside from Lautner, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin rushed to the “Only Murders in the Building” star’s defense during Tuesday’s episode of “The View.”

Hostin called out the haters discussing Gomez’s body, saying she could’ve “lost this weight” because of her battle with lupus.

Goldberg agreed that it was “nobody’s business” to comment on the pop star’s figure.

The “Lose You to Love Me” songstress has previously touched on how her lupus treatment has led to her weight fluctuation.

“When I’m taking [the medicine], I tend to hold a lot of water weight, and that happens very normally,” she said on TikTok in 2023.

“And then when I’m off of it, I tend to kind of lose weight.”

Lupus is an autoimmune disease when the body’s immune system attacks its tissues and organs, according to the Mayo Clinic.
