Tiffani Thiessen’s teenage daughter Harper is all grown up, and fans can’t get over how much she looks like her famous mom.
The Saved by the Bell star, 52, shared a collection of photos from her family’s adventures across the US this summer, including a striking snap of 16-year-old Harper enjoying a day snorkeling in a tiny blue patterned bikini.
Wearing a snorkel and mask, the teenager flashed two peace signs as she stood in the crystal-clear water against a dramatic rocky backdrop during the family’s trip to Hawaii.
“Summer 2026,” Tiffani captioned the carousel. “From Hawaii to Maine and everything in between. A memorable summer it was.”
But it was Harper’s resemblance to her mom during her Kelly Kapowski days that caught fans’ attention. “Your daughter is Kelly Kapowski of the 2020’s… both of you are so beautiful,” one follower wrote.
The carousel also offered a glimpse into the close-knit family’s summer together, with Tiffani sharing a beautiful portrait alongside her husband Brady Smith, Harper and their 11-year-old son Holt, as well as vacation snaps from their travels.
Brady summed up their adventures simply in the comments, writing: “A great summer indeed. :)”
Tiffani Thiessen’s daughter is following in her fashionable footsteps
Harper has inherited more than her mother’s looks. The teenager has previously raided Tiffani’s wardrobe for pieces from the star’s ’90s heyday, with the actress revealing in 2023 that Harper had taken a particular liking to a pair of her vintage boots.
“She stole my ’90s awesome boots and I have not gotten them back yet,” Tiffani joked.
Harper has even watched the series that transformed her mom into one of the most recognizable faces of the ’90s, although her verdict wasn’t quite what Tiffani might have expected.
After making her way through Saved by the Bell, Harper told her mom: “TV back then was kinda boring.”
Tiffani played Bayside High’s Kelly Kapowski from 1989, becoming a teen idol thanks to the role. More than three decades later, fans clearly see the resemblance between Kelly and her real-life daughter.
Tiffani’s relationship with teenage daughter Harper
Behind the lighthearted comparisons, Tiffani has been candid about the realities of watching her daughter grow from a little girl into a teenager.
When Harper entered junior high, the actress admitted that one of the hardest parts of parenting was watching her daughter navigate a new school, new friendships and the emotional upheaval that can come with adolescence.
However, she credited their close bond with helping them through it. “We have a very open relationship,” Tiffani told US Weekly. “And so I appreciate that and know that that was helpful for her too as much as it was for me.”
More recently, she revealed that some of their best conversations happen at bedtime, even as Harper gets older, and stressed the importance of listening to your instincts as a parent.
That bond is something Tiffani has treasured since Harper was born. In an emotional letter to her daughter when she was younger, Tiffani wrote: “I have loved every moment of being your mom,” admitting that it was also “a bit painful to see the time go by so quickly.” She called motherhood: “the role I treasure most in my life.”
Raising a strong daughter
Tiffani has also been deliberate about the lessons she wants Harper to take from her, particularly when it comes to confidence and body image.
“When I feel good, my daughter sees that,” she previously told the Los Angeles Times, explaining that she was careful not to criticize her own appearance around Harper.
“If I have a positive attitude about myself, I’m going to teach my daughter the same thing,” she said. “I want to teach her that eating right and exercising and being healthy is what’s important, not what size jeans you wear.”
That approach began when Harper was still little. Tiffani described her daughter as “high-spirited” and “strong-willed,” and said that although she and Brady maintained boundaries at home, she never wanted to suppress those qualities.
“I don’t ever want to quash her spirit or change the fact that she’s a strong-willed little kid,” she said. “We want her to grow up to be both a respectful and happy person.”
Family life away from Hollywood
Tiffani and Brady married in 2005 and welcomed Harper in June 2010, followed by Holt in July 2015.
Despite growing up with two parents in the entertainment industry, their children have enjoyed a relatively grounded upbringing, with Tiffani previously emphasizing outdoor activities, family time and giving her children independence.
Tiffani has also admitted that motherhood altered her own priorities. Asked years ago how becoming a parent had changed her, she said having children helped her relinquish some of her perfectionist tendencies because “the messiness doesn’t matter anymore,” she told Parade.
