Sarah Ferguson is “not believed” to have met her granddaughter, Adelaide, after the former Duchess’ daughter Princess Eugenie welcomed her earlier this month.
The youngest daughter of Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor gave birth to her youngest daughter, Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, on 3 August 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Despite not having set foot in the UK for seven months, according to the Sun, Sarah hasn’t been to see Eugenie’s tiny arrival, who is Sarah’s sixth grandchild, including Princess Beatrice’s stepson, Wolfie.
Sarah has a close bond with her daughters Eugenie, 36, and Beatrice, 39, who self-describe themselves as a ‘tripod.’
This news comes as the publication revealed that the former Duchess of York will be making an imminent return to life in the UK, with Sarah reportedly having plans to move into a £10,000-a-month house in the Home Counties as soon as Monday.
© InstagramIn February, Sarah was evicted from Royal Lodge, the property owned by King Charles where she lived with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, in the fallout of his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, Andrew, who is currently under police investigation following his arrest and subsequent release on his 66th birthday earlier this year, is living at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate.

During her time abroad, Sarah spent time at a £2,000-a-night spa retreat in Austria before lying low in Verbier in a property owned by her ex-partner, Paddy McNally.
Andrew ‘unlikely’ to meet his granddaughter
Earlier this month, it was revealed that it’s unlikely Andrew will meet the latest family arrival, according to one royal author.
“Relations with their father are particularly fractured and complex as daughters take on board each new disturbing disclosure about Andrew,” Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise And Fall Of The House Of York, alleged to the Daily Mail.

He alleged Beatrice and Eugenie’s respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, “don’t want their reputations and earnings tainted by association with Andrew and Sarah and are pushing for their daughters to distance themselves from their parents.”
Andrew is a grandfather to Eugenie’s two sons, August, five, and Ernest, three, and Beatrice’s daughters Sienna, four, and Athena, one, as well as Beatrice’s stepson Christopher Woolf ‘ Wolfie ‘, nine.
