Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Beth Broderick sent fans into a frenzy following her appearance on the Hyperfixated podcast, with commenters exclaiming over her youthful good looks.
The 67-year-old, who starred as Zelda Spellman on the hit â90s and â00s show, looked younger than ever as she sat down for the interview, with one fan writing: âShe still looks fabulous,â while another added: âDamn. She looks fantastic,â and a third chimed in: âShe looks amazing for her age.â
Aging in the spotlight
Beth has been open about struggling with her appearance in her 60s, and revealed that she has had some work done to keep up with Hollywood demands.
âI work out and try to take care of myself, and I have been pretty consistent regarding a diet/fitness regimen. Sometimes people ask me what the secret is. Why are so many people in my business in good shape?â she wrote in a Substack piece.
âIt is my job. That is literally part of the job. Failure to keep it up is not an option. If you work in front of a camera and plan ever to turn sideways, you are at some point going to need help with your sagging profile.â
âThat said, it is also important to enjoy getting older,â Beth encouraged. âAging is a privilege not afforded to everyone. A little gratitude is in order.â
The actress added that she wanted to avoid cosmetic procedures for the time being as she came to terms with aging.Â
âI am going to hold off on the whole redo for now. I look okay for an older gal, and I feel great. I am going to ride that for at least another year. For the foreseeable future, I am going to enjoy being âoldâ old me,â she said.
Lightning in a bottle
Beth starred in six seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, alongside Melissa Joan Hart and Caroline Rhea. She and Caroline reprised their role as Sabrinaâs witchy aunts in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in 2020, and the original cast reunited for the showâs 30th anniversary in June. Â
âWhen we were doing the show, we knew that we were onto something,â Beth told People. âWe knew that we were going to be a hit. You could just feel it. But nobody expects to be valid and a hit for 30 years. Of course, weâre still on pretty much every day in every country in the world.â
She added that no one anticipated the kind of impact Sabrina would have, before sharing: âItâs such a joy to be part of it. Itâs such a joy to have brought that kind of fun and magic into so many peopleâs lives.â Â
Her co-star, Melissa, echoed Bethâs sentiments, explaining just how meaningful the show still 23 years after wrapping. âItâs still so loved. Itâs so international,â she said.
âSo many people come to me and say it got them through a hard time, or they learned English from the show. All these amazing things that you hear that, over time, you hear it so much that you have to start to believe that it meant a lot to people. So thatâs huge.â
