Sabrina Carpenter stunned in Perfect magazine’s latest cover shoot with the “Manchild” singer, where she showcased her dramatic transformation from bouncy blonde locks to dark brunette hair.
In one photo posted to Instagram, the former child star rocked sleek, long black hair with blunt bangs, paired with a black manicure and dark smudged eyeliner that completed the gothic look.
In another shot, Sabrina switched things up with short, dark curls, while sporting a cropped plaid shirt and white fringed skirt. A third picture saw her with a blonde-brunette shaggy cut, à la Debbie Harry, as she sat on the floor in a lingerie set.
Fans went wild over her shoot on Instagram, with one commenting: “I wanna be cool like you when I grow up”, while another added: “Omg didn’t even recognize her!!”
“The Debbie Harry wig is such a vibe,” said a third, while another chimed in: “The bangsssss.” Sabrina opened up about her ever-changing relationship with fashion to Perfect magazine, revealing that she enjoyed switching up her fashion looks and hairstyles to keep things fresh and exciting.
”I’m the shortest person ever. So my initial relationship with fashion was sort of in distress,” she quipped. “The day I realized what tailoring is changed my life. In terms of what made me feel the most confident, it was an altered outfit, making it feel like it works really well on my body.”
“I see it truly as art, as something that can make you feel so self-conscious or it can make you feel so incredibly confident,” she continued. “I love to play dress up. This shoot was really fun for that reason. We got to try some looks that I’ve never tried before. Lots of wigs, lots of different make-up for me.”

Sabrina is having quite the moment, having released her hit album, Man’s Best Friend, in August 2025, resulting in six Grammy nominations. She also released her “House Tour” music video just days before her photoshoot, which was directed by herself and Margaret Qualley, and co-stars Madelyn Cline.
Sabrina will headline the upcoming Coachella music festival, and teased that it will be “the most ambitious show I’ve ever done”.
“Most of the time, you’re really quickly thrust into physical rehearsals, but this time around, we started this process around seven months ago. So it’s been a long journey. It will be very special,” she shared. The blonde beauty explained that she is a completely different person once she walks onstage for a show.
”There’s a button. I think it’s been this way ever since I was young,” she said. “And when you’re singing these songs, whether these songs be your personal stories or songs you wrote about other people, in that moment, it really becomes a show.”
“I’ve always been able to differentiate when I get off stage,” she added. “I am a human being. I’m a 26-year-old girl. I’m hormonal. I’m emotional. I’m dealing with a lot of stuff.”
“For me, it really just has been compartmentalizing the moments where I feel like the show must go on and then moments where I can really allow myself to be a little all over the place and allow that to be okay.”
