Ryan Reynolds shared a selfie with wife Blake Lively amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Reynolds, 48, showed off photos from his recent trip to Wrexham via Instagram Stories on Monday, February 3. In one snap, the actor sat alongside the tombstone of Yale University founder Elihu Yale, which was set to the song âHookâ by Blues Traveler.
A second image showed Reynolds standing with his arm around Lively, 37. The couple showed off big smiles as they posed for the photo in the Welsh city. (Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney own the Wrexham Football Club in Wales.)
Reynoldsâ post with Lively was set to âOnly Wanna Be With Youâ by Hootie & The Blowfish.
The coupleâs selfie comes after Us Weekly reported an update on Monday regarding how Lively and Reynolds are coping amid their ongoing legal drama.
âBlake is very stressed, upset and just wants all of this to be done,â a source told Us of the Gossip Girl alum. Her husband, meanwhile, âhas been consolingâ Lively as more details continue to emerge.
Reynolds is âmore confident that the truth will prevail in court,â the insider added, noting that the couple has embarked on a âfamily beach vacation.â (Lively and Reynolds, who married in 2012, share four kids: daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, and son Olin, 2.)
Reports regarding Livelyâs rift with It Ends With Us costar Baldoni, 41, first emerged in August 2024. The actors stayed quiet about any drama behind the scenes until Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production company in December 2024, alleging that she was sexually harassed while on set. The complaint and details of the alleged misconduct were initially published by The New York Times and has since been obtained by Us.
Baldoni has continued to vehemently deny all accusations against him, and later that same month he filed a $250 million lawsuit against the newspaper (and nine other plaintiffs) following their coverage of Livelyâs accusations. (The New York Times told Us that they planned to âvigorously defend against the lawsuit.â)
Lively subsequently filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in a New York federal court, which mirrored her prior complaint, alleging sexual harassment, a breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress and an invasion of privacy and lost wages.
Baldoni filed another lawsuit in January for $400 million against Lively, Reynolds and her publicist Leslie Sloane. The It Ends With Us star and director accused them of extortion, defamation and false light invasion of privacy, among other claims, in the court docs.
Both Baldoni and Livelyâs lawsuits are set to go to trial in March 2026. However, federal judge Lewis J. Liman stated in a hearing held on Monday that the trial date could be moved up if the suits continue to be âlitigated in the press.â
Both Lively and Baldoniâs respective attorneys released statements to Us following Mondayâs hearing, revealing they were happy with how things went in court.
âWe are pleased with the result of todayâs hearing and eager to move forward immediately with discovery in this case,â Livelyâs reps shared in a statement. âThe Court granted our request that all attorneys in the matter actually follow the rule of law and not make any statements that could prejudice a jury. This case deals with serious allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation. We will hold the defendants accountable, and we are confident that once all the evidence is submitted in this matter, Ms. Lively will prevail.â
Baldoniâs team noted that he is âdevastatedâ and hopes to âmove the case along as quickly as possible.â
âWe just couldnât be more pleased with how the case was handled today, how it was managed,â their statement continued. âWeâre going to move as quickly as we possibly can and prove our innocence, in a world where sometimes people judge you before they give you a chance. And weâre going to change that.â
