Ruby Franke’s Daughter Shari Franke Recalls “Scary” Abuse and “Psychological” Punishment

Ruby Franke‘s son Chad Franke is defending himself.
As his mom continues to serve prison time on child abuse charges, the 20-year-old—who is the second oldest of Ruby’s six children with ex Kevin Franke—shut down claims that he’s been “brainwashed” by controversial parenting influencer after saying he still loves her.
“To all the people saying my dad and I are still brainwashed for loving another human being,” Chad wrote on Instagram Stories March 3, sharing a video of his cat in a litter box, “eat Walter’s s–t.”
The Utah-based realtor also appeared to reference Ruby’s incarcerated business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, posting a photo of Wario—the archnemesis of Mario from the Nintendo game series—with the caption, “My healing process was realizing this was my therapist.”
His posts come hot on the heels of the Feb. 27 premiere of Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke, a docuseries featuring interviews from Chad and his dad Kevin, as well as his 21-year-old sister Shari Franke.
