Fearne Cotton and Jesse Wood are going their separate ways.
On Friday, Dec. 13, Cotton, an English broadcaster, podcast host and author, announced that she and Wood, the musician son of Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood, have separated.
“It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage,” Cotton, 43, wrote against a black background on her Instagram Stories.
“Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time,” she concluded.
Wood, 48, has not publicly addressed the divorce. A rep for the musician did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Cotton and Wood got married in 2014 and share two children: son Rex, 11, and daughter Honey, 9. Wood also shares son Arthur, 22, and daughter Lola, 19, from his previous marriage to Tilly Wood.
Wood lasted posted about Cotton on her birthday in September. At the time, he shared two sweet photos of the pair together and captioned the pics: “❤️Happy birthday to the one I love ❤️
@fearnecotton 🙋🏼♀️.”
He also commemorated their 10th wedding anniversary in July on Instagram.
“Happy 10th wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife!!❤️ if Victoria & Goldenballs can do it , so can we haha!😉,” Wood wrote.
Meanwhile, Cotton — who recently underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor — last posted about Wood on his birthday on Instagram in October. She also marked their wedding anniversary on social media in July.
“If its good enough for the Beckhams,” she began her Instagram post. “It’s our wedding anniversary too. 10 years today. And we are back in our wedding outfits (not purple) and @jessejameswood can’t locate the shoes.”
In 2021, Cotton opened up about her marriage to Wood in an interview with Red magazine.
“We’ve been together for more than 10 years now, and I don’t want to get all sickly, but we’re probably more in love than we’ve ever been,” she said at the time.
Cotton added, “We’re in a good place – an ever-undulating but good place.”
Meanwhile, in 2018, she wrote a column for the outlet and opened up about a rough patch they had been going through, per HELLO!.
“Love takes hard work – and no one wants to hear that. This year, Jesse and I hit a rough patch — he was away, touring relentlessly,” she said of Wood, who was previously a member of the British band Reef. “I was trying to keep my own career going while looking after our kids and we were both desperately clinging on to our marriage.”
