Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards is set to become a great-grandfather for the first time after it was revealed his granddaughter Ella Richards is pregnant. The daughter of the guitarist’s son Marlon Richards is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Sascha von Bismarck, whose brother Nikolai famously dated Kate Moss.
In a post on Instagram, model Ella, 29, showed off her bump in a simple black and white photo which showed her side profile as she announced her good news. Captioning the image, which has received more than 1,000 ‘likes’, she wrote: ” @sascha_von_bismarck.”
Poppy Delevingne was among those to comment on the happy announcement, writing “so SO beautiful”. Further still, Sascha’s brother Nikolai, 39, left a simple white ‘love heart’ emoji, while his ex-girlfriend Kate’s daughter Lila, 23, shared ‘hatching chick’ and ‘red heart’ emojis.
The romance of Ella and photographer Sascha, 31, who have been dating for several years, was confirmed in 2023. That was when she referenced being photographed by her boyfriend for the cover of Tatler that year, sharing, “I feel very comfortable with him taking my photo, which is a very personal thing”.
However, Keith, 82, isn’t the only member of the Rolling Stones to become a great-grandfather. Indeed, Mick Jagger, also 82, received that title when his daughter Jade Jagger’s daughter Assisi Jackson welcomed a child in 2014.
Ella spoke about her famous grandfather in the same interview with Tatler. Of watching him perform on stage with his fellow band members, she said: “They’re high on adrenaline, and it keeps them young. It’s so inspiring that they continue to do what they love, as long as they can.”

Sascha is the younger brother of Nikolai, also a photographer and who holds the title of ‘Count’, who dated Kate, 52, from 2015 to 2014. The siblings are the descendents of former German chancellor Otto von Bismarck, and their mum is Countess Debonnaire von Bismarck, who is known to be friends with the supermodel.

Indeed, Ella was one of 15 flower girls at the fashion icon’s wedding to Jamie Hince of The Kills in 2011, and she is also signed by the Kate Moss Agency, going on to work for the likes of Prada, Calvin Klein, Fendi and Valentino.
