Robert Irwin is sharing an update on his love life, two months after waltzing to victory on Dancing With the Stars.
During a Monday, January 19, radio appearance on Australia’s KIIS FM, the conservationist, 22, was asked, “On behalf of every single woman under the age of 30, are you single?”
“Oh, we’re going straight in for the exclusive. Yes, yes,” the DWTS season 34 winner revealed.
Asked if he was “looking” for love, Irwin shared, “Oh, definitely. It’s one of these things where I’m like at this point in my life where you sort of, you gotta let it happen, because I’m so here and there and everywhere and 100 miles per hour.”
“I’m open to it,” he added.
Irwin reiterated his bachelor status, saying, “Watch this space. There’s not much to report at the moment.”
Irwin had viewers swooning on the last season of Dancing With the Stars, which he won with professional dance partner Witney Carson.
During the season, Irwin, the son of late Australian icon and conservationist Steve Irwin, also sparked dating rumors with actress and former DWTS winner Xochitl Gomez, whom he danced with during the show’s 20th anniversary special.
In November 2025, however, Irwin played coy about his love life in an interview with The New York Times.
“Holy moly, that’s so challenging to navigate,” he said of dating while living in the spotlight. “Anything you do will be on TikTok the next day.”
He added, “I never change what I say, what I do, who I am one bit, wherever I am [and I have] no persona to hide behind. It’s just me, and I stand by who I am.”
During his time on DWTS, Irwin received support from Gomez, 19, who encouraged viewers to vote for him, and another A-list friend: Russell Crowe.
The Oscar winner was a good friend of Irwin’s father and tuned into the latest season of DWTS for Irwin.
“Russell has been someone in our lives who’s really just always been there for us. He was a great mate of my dad’s,” Irwin told Access Hollywood in October. “Through thick and thin, he’s always been there. He’s an incredible human being and someone that is certainly an inspiration to me and someone I’ve looked up to for a long time.”
“I’m incredibly grateful for his support on this dancing journey,” Irwin continued. “It’s actually been really cool because Russell will message after a performance and go, ‘Wow, this was…’ Instead of just saying, ‘Great dance,’ he’ll really delve into the detail of, ‘OK, these steps were great. Love the lines. Love the clarity and the storytelling.’ To get that very in-depth feedback is amazing. It really means a lot.”
Crowe told the outlet that he was watching Irwin on DWTS “every week,” saying, “I think he’s doing fantastically, man. He’s lifting my soul every week. … Me and his dad were great mates, and so I’ve watched him grow up. I’m just so unreasonably proud of who he is as a person. He’s just such a solid young man.”
