Riley Green Sets the Record Straight on His Relationship Status amid Megan Moroney Dating Rumors

Riley Green is single as can be.

During the premiere episode of the In the Blind podcast on Monday, March 3, the “Worst Way” singer — who’s recently been linked to Megan Moroney by fans online — was asked if he’s dating anyone.

“Single,” Green, 36, responded. “That was an easy one.”

Then, host Eric Gunderson pushed further and asked “how single?”

“Pretty damn,” Green said simply, before they moved on to a different topic of conversation.

Reps for Green and Moroney did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Elsewhere in the interview, Green recalled being moved by Moroney’s rendition of  ‘Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You’ with Brooks & Dunn.

“You know, I did the Brooks & Dunn Reboot this time, and I went to listen to it and my favorite song on there is not mine. She did ‘[Ain’t] Nothing ‘Bout You,’” he said of Moroney, 27.

“I forgot all about that song. I wish I would’ve done that, but it’s so hard to take something that was already right, and make it your own or try to make it better. That was one of those where it was almost kind of rock-feeling. A really cool version of it,” he continued.

The “Different ‘Round Here” singer concluded, “Yeah, I had to sing ‘She Used to Be Mine’ with [Ronnie Dunn] sitting there in the room. It’s probably a little easier for her – somebody a little more talented vocally than I am, but that’s a tough thing to go do”.

Though the pair is yet to collaborate, Green tapped Moroney to sing Ella Langley’s part in “Don’t Mind If I Do” in November.

Meanwhile, fans began speculating about a romance between Moroney and Green in January when TikTok users believed they were on vacation together. At the time, Moroney shared photos from her trip on Instagram and tagged Saint Barthélemy as the location.

At the time, Green shared photos on his Instagram Stories at a resort — and a TikTok user pieced together that they matched a resort in Saint Barthélemy. Another TikTok user linked their shark photos.

Earlier that month, a fan on TikTok also pointed out that Moroney was wearing what appeared to be Green’s hat on her Instagram Stories.

Green previously dated artist manager Sophia Sansone and has been rumored to be linked to “You Look Like You Love Me” collaborator Langley and singer-songwriter Jessica Lynn.

Meanwhile, Moroney was previously linked to Morgan Wallen, though she’s clarified they were “never exclusively” dating.
