Rihanna is embracing her natural style.

The singer and beauty mogul, 36, shared a photo of her natural locks while launching a new Fenty Beauty product.

The “Umbrella” singer detoured from her signature long dark hair in the ad, and instead rocked her natural short, golden brown curls. Along with her hairstyle, she was photographed wearing dramatic smokey eye makeup and nude lipstick with brown liner.

Recent appearances show Rihanna with longer hair, including a separate ad campaign for Savage X Fenty that launched on Tuesday, Jan. 7. For the brand’s new Valentine’s Day 2025 lineup, the singer posed in red lingerie and cascading dark brown hair with light pink highlights.

Then, on Dec. 16, 2024, she stepped out for a date with A$AP Rocky with her long waves pinned away from her face as she wore a comfy-yet-chic look that featured a pair of designer Crocs, a brown fur coat layered over a navy blue zip-up jacket and black bike shorts.

The new hairdo comes amid the upcoming release of Fenty Beauty’s new You Mist Makeup-Extending Setting Spray, said to have 12-hour wear. The finishing mist is free of alcohol, oil and fragrances, per a press release obtained by PEOPLE.

“I wanted to make a setting spray that really locks in your makeup but moves with you, not against you,” Rihanna said in a statement. “We spend the time putting on our makeup, we deserve to have it last! You Mist gives you 12-hour wear that makes your skin look and feel even better with each spray.”

The setting spray, out Jan. 17, is designed for all skin types and made with wild thyme extract to help hydrate skin. It also contains ingredients that protect the skin from environmental stressors.

Fenty Beauty shared the product on Instagram with the aforementioned photo of Rihanna rocking her natural hair and the caption, “Say hello to #YouMist Setting Spray – the skin-loving spray that makes makeup last all day.”

The post continued to highlight the setting spray’s unique qualities, including extending makeup wear for 12 hours, being waterproof and transfer-resistant, and protecting against pollution.
