Rihanna issued a scathing clapback to her security guard after he let a door close on her in a viral video.
The singer, 37, was leaving New York Cityâs Four Seasons on Friday when her employee pushed through the hotelâs doors â and kept right on going without a look back.
The Grammy winner paused with the doors closing in on her before pushing through and sarcastically declaring, âSuch a gentleman you are.â
She giggled to herself before following the man toward her ride.
Rihannaâs fans blasted the security guard over the weekend, demanding Rihanna âfire him.â
One predicted, âLast day on the job, champ.â
Another pointed out, âIf heâs not paying attention to the door, how can he be protecting her?â
Others, however, railed against the songwriter expecting someone to hold open doors for her.
âDoesnât she have hands?â a social media user asked.
One netizen agreed, âShe shouldâve looked up and grabbed the door. ⊠Famous or not, always look out for yourself.â
Rihannaâs rep did not immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
The Fenty Beauty creator has been out and about supporting her partner A$AP Rockyâs âDonât Be Dumbâ album launch all week long.
The couple coordinated in bomber jackets at the 37-year-oldâs launch party Thursday evenings.
On Saturday night, she braved the cold for the âSaturday Night Liveâ afterparty to celebrate Rocky as the sketch showâs musical guest.
The couple have been an item since late 2019 and share three children â son RZA, 3, son Riot, 2, and daughter Rocki, 4 months.
The duo were friends for years before Rockyâs mom convinced him to date Rihanna.
âMy mother used to say sât like, âI know you like this girl that you [are] with right nowâ â I ainât gonâ say no names â âbut I want you with RiRi,ââ he told the New York Timesâ âPopCastâ listeners on Thursday. âItâs like, âMa, why you keep saying that? That girl donât even want me like that.ââ
After joking that âmothers know best,â Rocky noted, âIâm thankful that [Rihanna] was put in my life at that time because any time prior to that I donât think I was ready for something like that.â
