â#godfirst #love #forever #â¤ď¸ Iâm Going to miss you bubsâ¤ď¸đđ˘,â the âReal Housewives of Salt Lake Cityâ star wrote on Instagram Friday night.
Mary included an image of herself and a young Robert Jr., set to the song âTime After Timeâ by Jessica Mauboy.
Many fellow âReal Housewivesâ stars flocked to the comments section to support the church leader.
âRHOAâ star Cynthia Bailey wrote: âI love this photo of the both of you. Sending continued love, prayers and strength. Love you Mary.â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸,â while Heather Dubrow from âReal Housewives of Orange Countyâ added, âSending you love and strength â¤ď¸.â
âItâs amazing that a certain photo can remain your favorite because of contextâŚ,â Bozoma Saint John from âRHOBHâ penned, âwhatever you were saying or whatever you were doing when this photo was snapped is one that comes instantly rushing back when you see the photo. I pray that the good memories will keep you uplifted â¤ď¸.â
Kyle Richards sweetly chimed in, âBeautiful picture Mary. Youâre an amazing Mom and gave him so much love. May his memory be a blessing đ.â
Robert Jr. was found dead after officers âresponded to an overdose call that turned into a death investigationâ on Monday, a Salt Lake City Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday.
Shortly after the news broke, Mary spoke out, expressing that she knows âhe is finally at peace.â
âOur beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in Godâs promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow,â the reality star wrote via Instagram.
Robert Jr.âs death comes after his estranged wife, Alexiana Smokoff, filed for divorce in November following three years of marriage. The exes secretly tied the knot at a Utah courthouse in August 2022.
The divorce was finalized in January.
Meanwhile, in the weeks leading up to Robert Jr.âs tragic death, the young adult was charged with domestic violence and had a warrant out for his arrest.
The 23-year-old, who had been open about his drug issues on the Bravo reality show, was charged with felony aggravated assault and felony assault on Feb. 5, just two days after he was released from jail.
The alleged victim reported Robert Jr. on Nov. 23, alleging that he became enraged after she threw his drugs in the toilet six months earlier, according to documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday.
While the alleged victimâs name wasnât revealed, the initials were A.S., and they referred to Robert Jr. as her âhusband.â
Robert Jr. previously spent two months behind bars for violating a pretrial protective order against Alexiana.
As part of his Feb. 3 release, he was ordered to complete 75 hours of community service and complete substance abuse and anger management classes during his 24 months of probation.
Robert Jr.âs time away âallowed him to sober up and start thinking clearlyâ after struggling with drug addiction, his lawyer, Clayton Simms, told Page Six earlier this month.
âHeâs looking forward to doing positive things,â the attorney added. âThe difficulty is that he was slow to recognize the dissolution of his marriage. But now he understands the relationship is over, and heâs moving forward.â
