Fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff didn’t mince words when telling her The Real Housewives of New York City costar Sai De Silva why she ditched menstrual cups.

The cups are alternatives to traditional pads and tampons, generally made of silicone, and are inserted into the vagina as a physical barrier that collects menstrual blood.

But as Rebecca, 42, explained on the Oct. 15 episode of the Bravo hit, her experience with the cup was not what she expected.

“My friend was all about the cup,” Rebecca told Sai, “You know, the cups you wear when you’re—”

“The Diva cup?” the fashion and lifestyle content creator, 43, confirmed, referring to a popular brand.

“Yeah.” Rebecca said. “I f—ing sneezed and it shot out of me.”

Shocked, Sai covered her mouth with her hand.

“I will never put anything like that up me again,” Rebecca said. “Can you imagine?”

“Wait, did it look like a murder scene?” an amused Sai asked, prompting Rebecca to reply with a laugh, “Yes!”

The Diva Cup website says there are different sizes for the cups, and when inserting, they should always be tilted towards your tailbone to create a leakproof seal.

But as The New York Times points out in an article on the menstrual aids, any time you “bear down on your lower abdominal muscles” — such as when you use the bathroom — the device can “self-empty.”

The outlet notes that this “can be a challenge” as it’s prone to happen “when you sneeze or laugh too hard” — as Rebecca discovered.

The menstrual cup fiasco wasn’t Rebecca’s only no-holds-barred admission from the episode; She shared that she lost her virginity to her ex Brad at age 16 — a result of an unconventional deal she made with her parents.

“They said, ‘If you don’t do drugs, we’ll get you birth control pills.’ And I was like, ‘Sign me up!’ ” Minkoff revealed, causing her castmates to react in shock.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
