In order to get on the same page, Jessel Taank wants to seek professional help with her husband Pavit Randhawa.
On the Nov. 5 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Jessel and Pavit couldnât see eye-to-eye on their ongoing debate of having a third child. While spending date night at an upscale Chinese restaurant, Jessel popped the big question: is Pavit onboard with using one of their frozen embryos to welcome a baby girl?
âI think the decision to have another baby is not just one person,â she began before Pavit quickly interjected, âWell the decision is already made. Thereâs no baby.â
After whispering, âOh my god. You stress me out, dudeâ under her breath, the Bravolebrity, 45, admitted that she felt not using the embryos would be a âbig mistake.â
âI think it would be a big mistake because we have the embryo. A lot of people who want to have a girl and do it naturally, they canât guarantee that,â she explained before pausing when Pavit interrupted to take a photo of their food. âIâm about to lose my sâ.â
Jessel continued, âI think we should probably see a professional therapist to help us figure this out. I think that you and I and our communication could use a little work.â
When the couple finished going back and forth about whose communications skills were worse, Jessel told cameras that she thought âa therapist would help him sort of understand his emotions.â
âCommunication is key in a marriage, and so as much as itâs opening the gates to the baby conversation, I truly do think it might help Pavit and I communicate a little bit better,â she added.
Back at the dinner table, Pavit asked how much couples counseling would cost. When Jessel said sessions could be from $300 to $500, Pavit said, âNo way,â and insisted he could find a cheaper alternative.
âI think that we should give it a shot,â she replied. âYou sort of always gravitate towards like, âOh, itâs a bad thing.â Itâs actually not. A lot of people actually do therapy, like, Jenna [Lyons] and Cass [Bird] do therapy for instance.â
Pavit eventually claimed heâd âput it on my listâ and Jessel confessed that his approach was âvery frustrating.â
âThatâs just his way of, kind of brushing everything under the rug. Thereâs no talking. That is how we deal with conflict in our household and let me tell you, this is not working,â she told cameras.
When Jessel let out a sigh, Pavit insisted he would arrange the first session.
