Kyle Richards is standing up for herself.

On the Jan. 7 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit Kemsley confronted her friend and costar for texting her estranged husband Paul “PK” Kemsley amid their separation.

Noting that she was on “high alert” and claiming PK was in a “very unpredictable state of mind,” Dorit, 48, asked Kyle, 55, if the two had communicated since announcing their decision to go their separate ways.

“My friendship with PK is memes and jokes,” Kyle explained. “You know, he doesn’t share anything about your relationship or anything that’s going on. We don’t talk like that. It’s literally, like memes and jokes and things like that, and that’s it.”

“I mean, have I gotten a meme from in a while? Maybe within the last week, maybe,” she added.

Dorit appeared shocked by the confession and told cameras why she felt hurt by Kyle keeping in touch with her husband.

“It’s not even that Kyle’s been communicating with PK since our separation,” she explained. “The point is that you’re texting my husband when you and I are not talking, when you and I are not good. It’s just not okay.”

The mom of two told Kyle that the circumstances of her relationship with PK were “different now” and whether or not they were on great terms, “it’s something that I would expect, that you would share it with me.”

“It never got to the point where you guys weren’t getting along, even if we were in a bad situation, you and me. Obviously, I am a girl’s girl,” Kyle replied. “I would always side with you. There is no question about that.”

Despite Kyle maintaining her innocence, Dorit wasn’t convinced by her attempt to defend herself. In a conversation with cameras, Dorit noted that if the roles were reversed, Kyle wouldn’t be okay with her contacting her husband, Mauricio Umansky, during their separation.

“Regardless of our situation, and I do feel like we’ve made a lot of progress. Now, if I ever thought in the past, ever that it bothered you that PK and I sent memes, I would never have done that,” Kyle said, adding that Dorit had always “laughed about it before.”

In her own confessional, Kyle added: “Where did this come from? We had already made up, and I felt really good about our friendship, and now she has to go dig this up so she can have something. Are you kidding me, Dorit? I’m going to be really honest, PK has been a better friend to me than she has lately.”

In the end, the two couldn’t see eye-to-eye and Kyle claimed she was “done” with the conversation as the episode concluded in a screaming match between the women.
