Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines were spotted showing PDA in Cape Cod, Mass., as they mourned the loss of his mother nearly a month after the ex-presidential candidate’s alleged cheating scandal was exposed.
The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star was seen holding hands with RFK Jr. at his family’s famous Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port on Saturday following the death of his mom, Ethel, per photos published by Daily Mail on Monday.
Hines, 59, appeared to be showing support for her grieving husband, 70, as the pair kept close while walking along the boardwalk in casual outfits.
The actress also publicly comforted Robert on social media last week after Ethel died at the age of 96 from complications of a stroke she suffered earlier this month.
The politician had taken to Instagram to pay tribute to the late family matriarch, writing that she had lived a “rich and eventful life” and was now reunited with his father, Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
Hines replied in the comments section, writing, “This is beautiful. Your mother was very proud of you. 🤍.”
She also honored Ethel’s memory with her own post on Instagram, recalling her “charisma, wisdom and strength.”
“Bobby and I spent many warm nights in Hyannis Port having dinner with her and hearing stories from her extraordinary life,” Hines wrote.
“She always made me laugh. She was never too serious except when she needed to be. She dressed to nines with bare feet. She will be missed. My love is with the family.”
Hines’ dedication to Robert Jr. comes just weeks after his alleged sexting affair with New York Magazine politics correspondent Olivia Nuzzi, 31, was revealed.
We’re told Hines is not surprised by her husband’s philandering.
However, a source told People earlier this month that she is “embarrassed” by the scandal.
The politician has yet to directly comment on the accusations, though three more women have claimed to have had relations with him.
Amid the unraveling drama, insiders told Page Six that Hines is thinking about filing for divorce, despite continuing to put on a united front.
The duo tied the knot at the Kennedy Compound in 2014 after being introduced by her co-star Larry David.
