Raquel Leviss is not surprised her ex was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence.
“We are aware of James Kennedy’s recent arrest for domestic violence. This news is, unfortunately, not surprising,” her attorneys, Mark Geragos and Bryan Freedman, told Us Weekly in a statement Thursday.
“Rachel’s [revenge porn] lawsuit describes, in significant detail, Mr. Kennedy’s long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse.”
Leviss, 30, and Kennedy, 32, started dating in 2016 before getting engaged five years later. However, they split shortly after their engagement.
Earlier this year, the former beauty queen sued her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, along with Bravo and their production companies, for revenge porn. At the time, she had been having an affair with Sandoval who had recorded her while performing explicit actions during a FaceTime call.
In her lawsuit, she also claimed that Kennedy exhibited abusive behavior while they were together, describing him as “a DJ prone to violent outbursts and grappling with long-standing substance abuse issues and emotional dysregulation.”
The lawsuit read that allegedly “Kennedy would regularly berate Leviss, falsely accuse her of cheating, and act in a generally unhinged manner.”
“Leviss eventually warned Kennedy that she would leave him if he did not stop drinking. However, she soon learned that his despicable behavior was not solely a function of alcohol abuse.”
Leviss described an instance where Kennedy allegedly screamed at her mom and dad before kicking the family dog “four times in an uncontrollable rage.”
“Kennedy’s history of violent and dangerous behavior was well-known by Bravo, Evolution, and the cast,” the suit reads.
Another one of Kennedy’s exes, Kristen Doute, has also described Kennedy as abusive, claiming that he once shoved her into the bushes during a fight. The moment, however, was edited out of a “VPR” episode.
The 41-year-old — who is pregnant with her and her fiancé Luke Broderick’s first baby — reacted more cryptically to the news of her ex’s arrest by sharing via Instagram Stories, “Finally.”
Doute and Kennedy dated from 2013 to 2015.
On Tuesday, the London native was arrested for domestic violence after neighbors heard him and an unidentified woman fighting in his Burbank, Calif., home.
An eyewitness told police that they saw him grab the woman, but cops could not see any bruises on the victim.
He was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and has since been released on $20,000 bail.
Although it’s unclear who the alleged victim is, Kennedy has been with Ally Lewber, 28, since 2022.
Hours before his arrest, Lewber and Kennedy had attended Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party where he allegedly made a scene.
Us Weekly reported that he was acting “erratic” and was “in a mood” on the red carpet before he “ran off to get inside the party” instead of doing interviews.
Page Six was told a similar account, with an eyewitness saying that Kennedy “sped across the carpet like he was trying to avoid everyone.”
“The vibes were weird,” the insider added.
Since then, Lewber, who has remained quiet about the situation, has been spotted looking unfazed.
Meanwhile, Kennedy was also seen for the first time on Thursday while picking up a delivery from his front porch.
His lawyers, Scott Leeman and Leonard Levine, told Page Six in a statement, “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James.
“We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that after careful review, the city attorney’s office will decide not to file formal charges.”
