Why say goodbye to a good diamond?
Rachel Zoe has never been one to shy away from sparkle, and that means finding any excuse to wear her diamond jewelry â even post-divorce.
The celebrity stylist recently shared a look at the massive three-stone diamond ring she created to celebrate her split from husband Rodger Berman.
Created with Ring Concierge, the sparkler features a huge oval center stone flanked by two smaller â yet equally impressive â diamonds in the same shape.
The âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ newbie debuted the ring on her pointer finger last month, writing on her Instagram Stories, âA divorce ring of my dreamsâŠâI could die!!!!!â
Zoe has always had a love for diamonds, even telling Page Six Style in 2020 that she gifts all of her employees âhandpicked, very delicate diamond jewelryâ for the holidays.
And the superstar is in good company; Brooks Nader and Emily Ratajkowski both similarly traded their engagement rings â from ex-husbands Billy Haire and Sebastian Bear-McClard, respectively â for some eye-catching breakup bling.
Ratajkowski tapped jeweler Alison Lou, who created her original toi et moi engagement ring, to separate the styleâs stones.
âThe idea behind this was always to take the original ring and rebrand it to mark the new chapter in Emilyâs life. When we did her original engagement ring, it set a new trend for 2 stone rings, and it is very symbolic to take that ring apart and create anew,â Alison Lou founder Alison Chemla told Page Six Style at the time.
âJust like a divorce is a separation of two people, these rings are a separation of two stones. Now she has two rings she can proudly wear everyday that serve as a reminder of how strong and powerful she is.â
Nader, meanwhile, also worked with Ring Concierge to treat herself to a new, flashy 9-carat rock, saying, âItâs my way of celebrating the next chapter of my life. Women deserve to buy themselves something fabulous just because, so why not a sick divorce ring?!â
Celebrity jeweler Jacquie Aiche â who has created many an engagement ring, most recently for Miley Cyrus â tells us that sheâs fully supportive of the trend.
âEndings are never easy ⊠So I love the idea of treating yourself to a talisman that commemorates love and devotion to yourself,â says Aiche, who is known for symbolic designs.
âItâs less about the relationship and more about honoring the commitment you have to your truth. Youâre committed to following your heart and standing by what feels right, even when itâs difficult.â
Zoe filed for divorce from her longtime husband in July, 10 months after announcing their separation. The couple were together for more than 30 years.
Itâs unclear if she used any of the stones from her previous engagement rings â and, yes, there was more than one upgrade over the course of the pairâs 26-year marriage.
It appears that the ring Berman proposed with was a relatively modest emerald cut, which was later upgraded as a âpush presentâ after Zoe gave birth to the coupleâs first son in 2011.
Designed by Neil Lane, Zoeâs second ring included a 10-carat cushion-cut center stone surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. She was later spotted wearing a third, even larger sparkler with a blinged-out bezel.
