Rachael Kirkconnell is still on good terms with her ex Matt James after their breakup.

In response to Zachary Reality’s TikTok about her liking a recent post about James’ trip to Africa, the Bachelorette alum, 28, shared an update about where she stands with James one month after he announced their split.

“Never hated him and never will, i will always be rooting for him and wish him the best,” she wrote in the comment section, which was shared on Zachary Reality’s Instagram Story. “At the end of the day a like is just a like. we’re all good over here 💛.”

Kirkconnell also responded to several fans in the comment section.

“I fear Rachel [sic] would get back with him,” one user wrote and she responded, “Fear not.” When another fan wrote that she should “stand up,” she replied, “I’m standing.”

“I want her to want better for herself,” another user shared and Kirkconnell shared, “I do alexis!! we’re good over here.”

She also denied that she ever “unfollowed” James or was attempting to get back in his “good graces” by liking his post following her tell-all interview on Call Her Daddy last month.

“Right…Like you can not be each other’s person and still be happy for them…I’m actually kinda shocked by the people who don’t have this maturity level,” another fan wrote and she responded, “Yes Dana.”

Ahead of Valentine’s Day earlier this month, Kirkconnell admitted to PEOPLE that she was “surprised” by their split after four years together.

“The whole thing’s just been really weird because one, I didn’t expect anything at all,” she said. “Then, two, just the way he went about it and the way it was so public was really hard to deal with and go through the motions. It was one of those things where I’m not registering.”

Kirkconnell discovered that “a lot of women could relate” to her experience after speaking out on Call Her Daddy.

“That’s why I did that interview and why I wanted to speak up, instead of just let it blow over was because I wanted to stand up for myself. I wanted closure. I wanted to move on,” she also told PEOPLE. “And I also told myself there were so many people that were fans of us or cared about our relationship and I wanted to give them those answers that they had so many questions to.”

The reality star hoped to be a positive force for anyone “going through a breakup or going through a really difficult time,” Kirkconnell said. “It will get better and it’ll get easier and it’ll be okay.”
