Queen Rania’s daughter Princess Salma is her mini-me in gorgeous photo

Princess Salma of Jordan had reason to celebrate on Saturday as she marked her 26th birthday, and the royal’s mother, Queen Rania, was quick to post.

The mother-of-four shared a photo of the pair sitting together, and they looked almost identical! In the snap, the duo struck the same pose with Rania wearing a gorgeous patterned dress, while Salma opted for a plain white look.

Rania allowed her brunette locks to flow behind her, and Salma’s raven hair tumbled down the front of her shoulders as the royal ladies both smiled for the camera.

Rania posted the sweetest caption, saying: “Happy birthday to someone I could never quite sum up in a caption! Salma, I love your mind, your heart, and who you are.”

Royal fans were quick to comment, as one said: “Happy birthday Salma, beautiful photos,” while a second added: “Long life to Her Highness the Princess,” and a third commented: “God bless it. All your life, Princess Salma.”

Who is Princess Salma?

Born on 26 September 2000, Princess Salma is the younger daughter of King Abdullah and Rania. Salma is excluded from the line of succession as Jordan operates on agnatic primogeniture rules, which means only males can inherit the throne.

The royal pursued an education in the United States, graduating with a BA degree in archaeology from the University of Southern California.

Salma still has a kinship with her homeland and currently serves in the military in the role of first lieutenant. The royal made history in 2020 when she became the first female jet pilot in the country’s military.

The royal has also joined her father on state visits to France and in 2021, she inaugurated the Military Women’s Training Centre on behalf of her father.

Although Salma is rarely seen, she captured attention back in 2024 when she stepped out in a gorgeous Louis Vuitton coat from their 2001 Fall/Winter collection.

She wore the look while attending her father, King Abdullah’s 25th Jubilee, and she also wore a black dress and accessorised her look with a pair of patent black Mary Jane heels and a pair of seriously cultivated semi-transparent sunglasses.
