Queen Rania has shared the first family photographs after welcoming twin granddaughters over the weekend.

The Jordanian royal took to her Instagram account, @queenrania, to share adorable first photos of the new additions, who are the daughters of Princess Iman, 29, and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.

Rania, 55, was seen cradling the newborns in pink and white blankets, gazing adoringly down at her new grandchildren.

She will be especially delighted as Iman and Jameel chose to name one of their twins Rania, paying tribute to the Queen of Jordan herself.

The Queen captioned her post: “Healthy, happy, and finally here. We’ve been waiting so long to meet you, Talia and Rania♥️♥️

“Congratulations Iman, Jameel, and sweet big sister Amina!”

Also pictured were Iman’s younger siblings, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem, who appeared equally excited by the happy news as they met their new nieces.

Iman’s older brother, Crown Prince Hussein, celebrated the news, writing on his Instagram Story (translated to English): “Thank God for the complete grace and great favor, beautiful blessing and faith.”

Over the weekend, the couple revealed their chosen names, Talia and Rania.

“Praise be to Allah, the bestower of the most beautiful gifts,” Iman and Jameel penned.

“The most merciful has honoured us with the arrival of our precious twin daughters: Talia and Rania. We ask Allah to bless and protect them, and to fill their lives with light, blessings, and happiness. Iman and Jamil.”

The Jordan royal family is getting bigger

The newborns join big sister Amina, making Iman and Jameel a family of five and now parents to three daughters.

The babies are Rania and Abdullah’s third and fourth grandchildren. They also have baby Iman, the daughter of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa, who was born in 2024 and named after her aunt.

Princess Iman and venture capitalist Jameel married in 2023 and became parents for the first time with Amina in 2025.

It was announced just last month that the couple was expecting again, though it wasn’t revealed they would be welcoming twins.

One-year-old Amina does not hold a royal title, so the twins are also not expected to become princesses.

This is because the House of Hashim’s style is traditionally passed down from father to son.
