Greeting Sharon D Clarke, she asked: âLady Bracknell, herself. Did you enjoy it?â
âI have loved every second of playing Lady Bracknell, it was never something I ever expected to play,â she replied.
âFantastic, absolutely brilliant,â Camilla told her.
Putting a hand on the Queenâs shoulder, Sharon asked, âItâs a play that you love?â
âItâs one of my favourites, itâs so funny, it really makes me laugh,â said Camilla. âYou are brilliant at it, you got her spot on.â
And gesturing at the actressâs gem-studded sash she said: âI like all your decorations.â
âYou canât nick any of them,â replied Sharon, adding, âBut if you want to fashion yourself like meâŠâ
âI feel I could borrow a few, for a State Dinner. I think it would be just the job,â joked the Queen. âThatâs a very big diamond.â
Greeting Ncuti Gatwa, she said: âHow are you? The last time I saw you were recording Twas The Night Before Christmas,â referring to a filmed performance of the famous poem that both she and the King appeared in to support The Actors Benevolent Fund after the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020.
âIt was so much fun,â he recalled. âThank you for having me back.â
