Priscilla Presley Pays Tribute to Lisa Marie Presley 2 Years After Her Death: ‘I Miss You More Than Words Can Say’

Priscilla Presley is remembering Lisa Marie Presley.

On Sunday, Jan. 12, Priscilla, 79, paid tribute to her late daughter on Instagram, who died on Jan. 12, 2023. She posted a video of Lisa Marie with somber music playing.

“I miss you more than words can say,” she wrote in her heartfelt caption. “I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time.”

“I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts,” Priscilla added, before signing off as “Mom.”

Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, also remembered the singer-songwriter on her death anniversary. Keough, 35, shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Lisa Marie on her Instagram Stories with a heart emoji.

Navarone Garcia, Lisa Marie’s half-brother, posted about her on Instagram on Jan. 12 as well. “Sending love and thinking of you today,” he wrote.

Lisa Marie, the only child of Elvis Presley, died in January 2023, days after attending the Golden Globes. She was 54 years old.

Months before she died, Lisa Marie had been experiencing long-lasting fevers, nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting. She was rushed to the hospital on Jan. 12 for possible cardiac arrest.

Lisa Marie ultimately died as a result of complications stemming from bariatric surgery that she underwent years ago, according to the autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla shared in a statement with PEOPLE the day Lisa Marie died.

“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
