Princess Lilibet had a very important passenger joining her for a bicycle ride in Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram video: her baby doll.
The five-year-old’s little companion came along for the outing, offering a sweet glimpse of the childhood she shares with her older brother, Prince Archie. For all the attention surrounding their famous family, it was an everyday moment of make-believe that many parents will recognise.
With her doll tucked into a seat on the bike and Archie running alongside, Lilibet appeared ready for an adventure. The scene featured in Meghan’s new family montage, shared on 13 September, which included the children enjoying time outdoors.
And her tiny passenger is the latest addition to a charming collection of public glimpses into Lilibet’s world, from a colourful Jellycat bag to the nostalgic Easter treats her mother has picked out.
Princess Lilibet’s sweet travel companion
There is something especially endearing about a child taking a favourite toy along for the ride, and Lilibet’s doll was clearly part of the day’s plans.
Harry and Meghan share selected moments of their children’s lives while keeping much of their daily routine private. Here, the interest lay in a simple childhood pleasure: heading outside with a sibling and bringing a toy along.

The Jellycat bag that caught everyone’s attention
Lilibet has previously been spotted carrying a Jellycat rainbow bag while picking fruit with Meghan.
The British brand’s Amuseables Rainbow Bag combines a soft toy’s appeal with a child’s crossbody bag, complete with colourful stripes, a smiling face and little corduroy feet.
It is a playful accessory for a day outside, and a particularly fitting choice for a little girl whose latest outing also involved taking a companion with her.
The sighting doesn’t reveal the full contents of Lilibet’s toy box, of course, but it does show that even a princess can find room in her wardrobe for a cheerful stuffed rainbow.
Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie’s love of Bluey
Like many children their age, Lilibet and Archie are fans of the Australian cartoon Bluey. Meghan revealed their enthusiasm during an appearance on Get Down with Sean and Marley, when the hosts presented her with cuddly toys of Bluey and her younger sister, Bingo. The duchess immediately recognised the characters, happily telling them: “Our kids love Bluey!”

Some of the family’s toy purchases have a decidedly retro feel. During an April shopping trip to a Montecito boutique, Meghan reportedly picked up Magic Rabbit playing cards and Magic Castle Sea-Monkeys, the miniature aquarium kits that will bring back memories for generations of parents.
The purchases were reported as Easter gifts, rather than toys Lilibet had personally named as favourites. Even so, they suggest that old-fashioned novelty gifts still have a place among the family’s holiday treats.
Meghan’s online recommendations have also included a LEGO bunny in her “Easter Edit”, alongside children’s clothing and basket fillers. It was a seasonal shopping suggestion, although there has been no confirmation that the particular set is a regular fixture in Lilibet’s playtime.
A familiar link with her royal cousins
Lilibet’s soft toys and outdoor adventures offer a familiar connection with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Charlotte was photographed with a Jellycat puppy as a baby, while Louis famously posed on a little red bicycle in the photograph released for his third birthday. Taken by his mother before his first day at nursery, it captured another royal child enjoying a recognisable childhood milestone.
The children’s individual routines remain largely private, but these glimpses share the same appeal: royal titles sit quite comfortably alongside cuddly companions and learning to ride a bike.
