Princess Charlene was a vision in sparkles on Saturday evening as she formed the ultimate power couple with her husband, Prince Albert, at the annual Monaco Rose Ball.Â
The ball, themed âGalaxy Rose Ballâ by Albertâs sister, Princess Caroline of Hanover, invited guests to travel through space. The Sporting Monte-Carlo was transformed into a silver space shuttle, while the Salle des Etoiles was adorned with portholes that changed colour according to the planets explored throughout the evening.Â

Princess Charlene certainly got the memo, arriving in a gorgeous silver Elie Saab gown, as identified by the Royal Fashion Police on Instagram. The new bespoke gown featured a one-shouldered cape design with cascading sequins. The sparkles also adorned the bodice, which was connected to a billowing skirt and featured ruching on one hip.

The pale grey dress teamed perfectly with her statement diamond earrings and milky manicure. The princessâ hair, which she has been growing out since the tail end of 2025, was styled in a beautiful updo with a vintage feel.

Princess Charleneâs look had an Old Hollywood feel
âAn asymmetric cut is a silhouette that works beautifully with Charleneâs athletic frame. Itâs a style she returns to often, and for good reason, as it looks striking on her,â fashion stylist Leanne Jones tells us.Â
âHer hair, with its simple front curl, subtly honours her late mother-in-law â a thoughtful and elegant touch weâve noticed before. Itâs becoming something of a signature, and one that suits her effortlessly. The drop earrings are a perfect choice, complementing the embellished upper half of the dress and the sheer drape cascading down one arm. Together, these details add a bit of cohesion and elevate the overall look.â
Princess Charleneâs hair was swept up into a vintage faux bob
Her ever-growing blonde tresses were swept up and tucked under to create a mock bob and was parted down the side. A small section was pulled out and curled to frame her face and soften the overall effect.Â
For her makeup, the princess moved away from icy silver and opted for a romantic pink look. She wore rosy-hued eyeshadow, blush, and a peachy lip gloss to complete the look.

Meanwhile, Prince Albert, 68, looked dapper in black tie, as per the dress code, and patent Oxfords. His sister chose a black sparkly polka dot dress with silver open-toe heels and a sequinned jacket.Â
During the night, several acts performed including an opening display by the RondĂČ Veneziano orchestra, followed by the Parisian cabaret Crazy Horse, and a number by Ballet Kalinka.
Finally, Leee John and his iconic 1980s band Imagination paid tribute to British soul, jazz and funk music, before DJ Josh Quinton got everyone on the dance floor.
Princess Charleneâs understated suit
Charleneâs glittering evening gown moment came after she rocked a more understated ensemble featuring a tan Max Mara suit on 17 March for the Monaco Red Cross first aid diploma ceremony.Â
Angela Kyte, a luxury stylist with a decade of experience in the fashion industry, told us shortly after: âPrincess Charleneâs latest look is a masterclass in understated power dressing. The double-breasted blazer, with its strong shoulders and clean tailoring, creates a sharp silhouette, while the soft neutral tone keeps the overall feel refined.
âThe crisp shirt, minimal accessories and softly styled hair allow the structure of the suit to take centre stage, rather than competing with it.â
