Princess Beatrice was the spitting image of mum Sarah Ferguson with tumbling red hair

Princess Beatrice is famed for her bright-red hair, identical to that of her mother, Sarah Ferguson. And the oldest York child put this on full display back in 2009 when she stepped out with Sarah and Princess Eugenie.

The trio were spotted attending the premiere of The Young Victoria, on which the former Duchess of York served as a producer. Beatrice was definitely the mirror image of her mother, with the royal’s bright-red hair styled like Sarah’s.

Adding to the glam factor, Beatrice looked radiant in a blue dress with a unique asymmetrical shoulder strap, cementing her status as one of Britain’s most fashionable royals. She carried a small clutch bag with her, and finished off her ensemble with a towering pair of heels.

Sarah also stunned in a velvet slip dress worn to the event. Not to be outdone, Eugenie wore a head-turning white dress that featured a semi-sheer neckline.

It wasn’t just Sarah who was involved with the film, as Beatrice also made a non-speaking cameo in the 2009 film, playing one of Victoria’s Ladies-in-Waiting.

Beatrice’s current role in the royal family

Beatrice and her younger sister have had a difficult year following the scandals that have engulfed their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. The scandal has affected the pair’s popularity, with polling finding the public have started having a negative opinion on the duo.

According to royal expert Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of The House of York, Beatrice’s 38th birthday next month “will not be an easy one” due to “the state of her title, her marriage and her business activities”.

“Much has changed for the York family since Beatrice’s last birthday,” he explained to the Daily Mail. “Her father remains under, in effect, house arrest in Norfolk with the possibility of being charged with sharing confidential information, her mother probably still in hiding abroad.

“The publication of my book Entitled and Virginia Giuffre’s memoir Nobody’s Girl, the release of damning material about the family from Jeffrey Epstein’s papers, the de-princing of her father and his eviction from Royal Lodge and questions raised over the daughters’ subsidised accommodation at St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace though not working royals.”

Beatrice’s past birthdays were often marked with lavish parties and sun-soaked getaways, like her 18th birthday at Windsor Castle that saw guests dressed in Victorian-themed clothing.
